Rock-tacular Blowout!!

Today was Rock's big day, his blessing day! He got all dressed up in his little suit with his little tie. He looked like a little lady killer, and he played the part. Let me tell you, the ladies were all upons. He behaved himself like a little gentleman, right up until everyone said amen. As soon as we finished the blessing, he let out a little trumpet salute to everyone. It was pretty awesome. There's such a small window of opportunity to be able to let it fly in church, I'm glad that he has taken advantage of that opportunity.

Hey Marissa, eat your heart out!! Love, Whitni

Rock-a-docious!!

Today is Rock's seventh birthday!! He really wanted to go to the zoo for his birthday, so he and Connor (who was having his fourth birthday also!) loaded us up in the car and made us take them to the Niabi Zoo. Here's a picture of the little guys being overjoyed by the sight of the emus. The emus were located in this little "Aussie Walk" where you got to walk on a path through the habitat that they share with the wallabies. DeAndra was dying to get to see the wallabies. "If I don't get to see the wallabies then somebody will die!" is what she kept on saying. Well, we start walking through the habitat, and there is this cute little wallaby sitting there looking up at us. She pulled out the camera to take a picture, and the little guy took off out of the water and went hopping away. Well, it scared the bejeeberz out of DeAndra, who almost peed her pants and then tried to use the baby stroller (with Rock still strapped in it) as a shield. Then this friendly emu tried to say hello to her, and she made sure to keep her baby in position to be used as a human shield.
We finally escaped from the 'terrifying' little wallabies and 'filthy emus' and went to the primate section. We found a new babysitter for Rock! He seems nice enough, but doesn't like people talking back to him. Not even me.

And then Rock got to pose with his new little friend. We call him Simba. It's an original name, we didn't copy it from anything so stop trying to think if you've heard it before.

Here's some picture from Rocks recent adventure as a free range baby. DeAndra put him on the bed for a little bit to enjoy going 'commando'. Then I got into bed later and couldn't figure out why my feet were moist and warm. DeAndra claimed that she couldn't think of any reason that would be. I guess it's just one of those little mysteries of having children.

After his long day of going to the zoo and getting ready for his blessing day on Sunday, Rock still takes time to sit back and watch the Mariner's game in his underwear. He's still working on his scratching, but his burping and 'wind breaking' are coming along great.
And finally, here is a video of Rock laughing. Precious.

Rock-rama!!

Rock has definitely learned how to laugh, and he is getting pretty good at it. Yeah, he's pretty much the cutest baby ever. Two months ago DeAndra make fun of new parents who fawned over their kids, and now she has become one of them. But with something as adorable as Rock, I don't know how she couldn't turn into one of those moms. The big news today is that I came home early today and caught DeAndra at home with somebody. Okay, that kind of sounds bad, it was the YW presidency having a 'meeting' that included pizza and movies. DeAndra said that I didn't have to stick around if I was girled out, and that I could go golfing if I wanted to. She leaned in to give me a goodbye kiss just in time to hear me gunning the car out the driveway. I got to the course just north of Davenport, teed up on the first tee and got ready to hit the ball. I looked out at the flag and couldn't figure out why they started starching the flags straight out. Well, I hit my tee shot and it went out about 50 yards and then made a quick left turn onto the freeway. In case your not familiar with my golf game, my tee shots go sharply right, not left. Once I got away from the clubhouse I could feel the 40-50mph wind that was blowing across my face. I shot a 52 (through nine), which considering the wind and that I hadn't golfed in five months I thought was pretty good.

Part of DeAndra's 'presidency meeting' was putting the babies next to each other and taking pictures. You can tell there weren't any fathers around, or they would have put the kids in the octagon and made them battle it out. But no, instead the moms just take pictures. Wussies.

Rock, Pantless and Loving Every Minute!!!!!

So the little guy has a bit of a diaper rash, and DeAndra thought it would help if we aired him out a little bit. So for a couple of minutes today we let Rock run free and wild! He seemed to like being commando and took the chance to mark his territory, if you know what I mean. DeAndra decided to loosen her stand on nudity just enough to let cute little baby bumbums on the blog, but she says that is as far as she'll go.

Here's DeAndra's aunt Karen and her cousin Theresa with her kids Carson and Savannah (oh DeAndra doesn't want anyone to forget that Rock is there too).
Here's the little guy getting ready to go home, and then to our awesome Easter Dinner put on by Tender and Emily Noorda. He was a happy little camper in the car this weekend, and only had one little 'blowout' from both ends.

This little guy is strong, he can lift his whole upper body up for ever, and he can do more than half of a push up. Imagine how ripped he'll be once we start stacking the creatine, BCAA's, HGH and steer steriods in his milk before his belly time. I'm so proud of the little guy.

Here is Brent Rich playing with Rock and getting him to show off his awesome smile and cure little laugh.

Rock is excited about baseball season, but he is still very concerned about the M's roster management. He is trying to be optimistic, but he is worried about how the team evaluates talent. This shouldn't be a problem, but he has enough of his mom in him that he gets cranky when he worries about the season. But he really wanted a sports picture, so he gets a BYU football picture. Go Cougs!

Rock-ificent!!!

The picture fest continues with some more pics of Rock doing his thing. He is growing pretty fast, but he is still incredibly baby-like and refuses to help out around the house. I tried to send him to his room, but he just laid there on the floor and mocked me.

Rock-imus!!

DeAndra's latest effort to get Rock's adorableness out to the world continues with a continuation of the copious amounts of photos. There are pictures of him after his bath, some after he left a major present for DeAndra, and others just random when he is being incredibly freakin' cute. There's been a lot of pictures lately, so DeAndra wants everyone to make sure they check below if they haven't seen the other pictures.

You want to put that thermometer where? Try it, I dare you.
