Rock's first Cougar game!!

COUGS WIN!! COUGS WIN!!!

Needless to say, Rock was wicked stoked for his first BYU football game. He put on his favorite shirt and sat in front of the TV way early to mentally prepare for the football bounty of which he was about to partake. Then he posed for some team pictures with the guys.
Talk about putting on a game face. Don't mess with these guys.
Finally, after all the pregame preparations, it was kickoff time. He really liked the first half, when the Cougars went ahead by 24 points!! Go Cougs!!!
Rock and Connor got a little concerned about halftime. This was a new concept to them and they wanted to know whey people were talking and not hitting each other.
Then the third quarter came and Rock was concerned about the three fumbles that BYU lost.
But then BYU quit being gracious hosts and finished the beatdown on the Panthers. He really liked the final score of 41-17 so much that he let off a victory fireworks show into his diaper.
Then we all got to celebrate with a postgame victory meal. He was so happy that he munched down his oatmeal like it was going out of style.

GO COUGARS!!!!

Rock the Awesome!!

Rock is continuing his reign of awesomeness. He is continuing his mastery of real foods by dominating vegetables (he hates them) and oatmeal (loves it!) but he's not a big fan of the bib. As soon as you put it on him he pulls on it
and yanks on it
and talks smack about it's mother
and tears at it until he pulls it off. He won't be happy until he gets that pesky bib off of him.
And the little guy is still working on his domination of crawling, but he's making some serious progress. His biggest problem is that he is just an overachiever and tries to crawl up on his toes. It looks more like a bear crawl than a normal crawl, and the little guy just doesn't have the core strength to move around in that position. But he's working on it, and like Rube Baker once said, "there's no odds against being yourself, no matter what the oddsmakers say".
One of his passions lately is technology. There's a song about it that DeAndra sings for him:
"Oh, he loves technology, but not as much as Mommy, you see.
But still, he loves technology. Always and forever".

Here he is playing with my laptop. Thanks for the help with the keyboard.

Here's another shot of his battle with crawling.

Of course his biggest passion is sports. Watching the Olympics these last couple of weeks has inspired him to fine tune his mad athletic skills (which he got from DeA, by the way). Here he is playing basketball. He plays above the rim and dunks straight down. I just hope he doesn't get used to it, because something tells me that height won't be his friend in life.

Then there is his favorite pastime, being super adorable!!

Rock is Great, in '08!!!

This election year there is only one man who you should throw your support behind, and that man is Rock!! Why should you vote for Rock? Because he looks good in a suit and loves puppies!

Rock England in 2008 for President. Why? Because he's as qualified as the other guys. It's the American thing to do.
Oh, and he sure can wow the voters. Here is a clip where he has them eating out of the palm of his hand. Rock in '08, the only politician who has the poop come out in his Huggies, not out his mouth!

Rock Mega-Post!!!

I have decided to make up for the lack of posts lately by compiling a Super-mega-post full of Rock goodness. Our little hero is doing great; right now he is coming off of a high from getting spoiled from having Grandma and Grandpa England here (along with KC and Nick) for the long weekend. He sure likes attention and showing off his new skills. First he showed off his made remote skills by showing everybody how quickly he could flip through all the channels on the TV. He was pretty proud of himself. Then he took some time to show off his mastery of origami. He's making a crane.
Rock had to go shopping with the women and he wasn't a big fan. I wish that I had a comfy chair to sleep in when DeA drags me shopping.
After a long day of entertaining, Rock still found time to fit in his daily push-up regimen of 45000 fist push-ups.
After getting all pumped up and ripped, Rock wanted to relax with a quick game of Madden '08 against Nick. The final score was 734-7 after he let Nick score a pity touchdown with a minute left.
The boys all went to the Field of Dreams and Rock came away with a bat that was his specific size! Like the professional hitter he is he first checked the integrity of the bat by gnawing on the barrel.

As soon as he was sure the the bat was made from quality ash he took some practice cuts in the kitchen. You know, I was never allowed to swing a bat in the kitchen, but you can obviously see my mother in the background encouraging him. Sometimes I wish I was harder to raise.
Perfect bunting technique. Pinching the barrel with the top hand, squared to the pitcher (who was about to bring the high heat with a golf ball).
Then he gathered everybody around and he regaled us all with his stories of epic adventures and forbidden loves. And of course he threw out quite a few classy jokes. His favorite joke to tell right now is about the girl with a glass eye and the boy with a cleft pallet. Very classy.
Then when all was said and done he just sat back, kicked his feet up and enjoyed some Baby SportsCenter.

And don't forget, only four days left! Here's a little something to help you share in Rock's excitement!

Still Awesome!!

And by awesome I mean spoiled. Cute, but spoiled.

Rock isn't a big fan of green beans (who is?) and it shows in his face

Here's another one of Rock's Picks as he prepares for his first football game!
