Massive Make-up Post

Today was the blessed day when we got both the new power cord and the new hard drive for our computer. I know that some of you (mostly grandmas) have been foaming at the mouth waiting for new blog material, so I'm going to get right to it. The biggest news of the week: we don't have carpet in the bathroom anymore. Now potty training Rock won't have the same urgency on the aiming component as before. Don't get me wrong, aiming is still important, just not as urgent now that the carpet is gone.

Now that the originally white, now gray, carpet is gone, Rock is allowed to play in the bathroom a little bit. He seemed to really like the people he met in there, gave them high fives and stuff.

DeAndra is scared to death that Rock will become a Rocksicle this winter, and so she picked him up a fuzzy hat. At first he wasn't so sure about it, but now he is.........warming up to it (get it?).

Rock is becoming quite the little explorer, and yesterday he decided to go spelunking. Just happens that the house is short on caves that are spelunkable.

Why does he like spelunking? Because its dangerous!

Lately Rock has gotten into his head that he would really like to be a banker. He's been putting on the cool banker threads to show his intentions.
But then he heard about FannieMae and FreddieMac. He was heartbroken!
"I'll never get to be a banker if they are all bankrupt! I hate them so much!"
Then he heard about the government bailout, and how it was going to help the banks. His hope-o-meter rose cautiously.
But then it hit him: "Oh no, only a fool would want to work for a bank controlled by the government! You all suck for ruining my dream!!" The end

Rock hates naps. He hates taking them, and he hates letting his dad take one.

Rock is sold on using protein for his workouts, he just isn't sure how it all works.

Our little guy is still aspiring to a be a basketball player, despite the fact that he continues to fall in the 10th percentile for height and 75th for head size. But all the naysayers are only fueling his internal fire to succeed, and motivates him to practice hard on his own hoop. He loves practicing his dunks and smack talk, but the smack is still a work in progress unless he's playing a dog.

There. Are we forgiven now?

Rock is still adorable

Quick Update

Our precious little laptop is experiencing memory issues at the moment. For some reason is keeps claiming to be out of memory, but that can't be right because as of about eight months ago there was plenty of memory on here. I wonder what happened....

Anyways, while we work on getting an external hard drive or something, we were tagged by the Knigge's and so here goes DeAndra answering those questions.

Here are the tag rules. . .

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.

2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.

3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.

4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Our tagger was: Krystal

Our 7 Facts:

1. Our lawn is filled with dead leaves
2. I like Ham and Cheese Hot Pockets
3. My two favorite movies are Nacho Libre and Sons of Provo
4. I don't like Chipotle Tabasco sauce, but Aaron and Rock love it.
5. I like Seventh Heaven
6. I really, really love movies where stuff blows up and there is absolutely no mushy stuff
7. I can out burp Aaron any day of the week.

There are my seven facts. I tag anybody who hasn't been tagged yet.

Rock's Halloween costume

Rock really wanted to go as GI Joe, but we had problems finding tiny cammo pants and a tiny gun belt. So DeAndra stepped up and decided to dress Rock up as the scariest thing she could imagine. Click here for a glimpse into what absolutely terrifies her. Its all in the last paragraph.

The little guy has been facing some tough decisions lately, like should he let Dad feed him or just go to sleep.

Here he just gave up and crashed on the couch during Baby SportsCenter.

"I'd really like to eat, but there's no food back here. What should I do?"

Rock Goes to the Park, and Awesomeness Ensues

DeAndra has started to complain that the blog is getting boring and stale, so she insisted that we take Rock on a field trip. I thought it would be fun to play hide and seek in the living room closet during Monday Night Football, but was talked into going to the park with promises of cheesecake (but that's a story for another day...mmm, cheesecake...). Turns out that Rock's favorite thing in the world is the swing. Don't believe me? Watch for yourself how much he loves this thing.

Rock is starting to get sick of his footie pajamas and he is finding out how to escape them. This is how I found him the other morning in his crib.
To help Rock with his continuing battle against his teeth DeAndra has starting giving him doggy biscuits. They aren't really doggy biscuits, they are puppy treats. They make a huge mess.

Just another video of Rock on the toys to keep you all happy.

Super Rock-tastic Megapost!!

Out little guy is still doing great. He's really learned how to leverage his cuteness into extra attention, and its causing a problem keeping him from getting too spoiled.
He went with us to a training meeting yesterday, and he got to play with Bishop Onken. After the meeting Bishop leaning close to Rock and whispered "You know Rock, you are pretty soft and spoiled".
I guess we still have plenty of time to straighten him out. That's what hard work and switches from a willow tree are for. But look at that face, how could that not melt your heart?
The little guy is sure enjoying him some solid foods. He munched down a whole thing of squash as his victory meal after BYU beat down the pesky Lobos. Go Cougs!!

I know everybody has been waiting anxiously to find out what we are naming Ben and Shannon's baby. The poll results are in, and the baby will be named Max Pitta Bronco Harvey Collie Scoresby!! Congrats baby Scoresby!!

Rock is climbing back on the horse after his failed attempt at trying Tabasco sauce. This time went a lot better, but part of that might have been the brand new bottle without any crusties on the lid.

DeAndra thinks its cute when she picks him up in the morning and he has managed to get one of his legs outside of his pajamas. She doesn't think its that cute when he wakes up at 6:30 with a smile on his face like this after not sleeping all night.

DeAndra has this heater tower to keep warm when the house drops below 70 degrees (what kind of husband refuses to turn up the heat in the house when its that cold?) but Rock doesn't seem to like it. Every time he sees it standing he makes it his mission to topple it.

This one shows that it isn't some passing fancy, he really does hate this thing. Watch how hard he works to topple his adversary.

Rock is also honing his hunting skills. Here he stalks the elusive Evenflo

Rock is finally starting to sleep better at night, and so in the mornings he is happy. That means DeAndra is happy, which means I have permission to be happy.
