Jensley recently discovered how awesome the pool and water is on a hot summer day.  She loves soaking in the rays and sipping daiquiris.
She is becoming quite the little fish.
 Speaking of fishes:
The other night we got our redneck on and went shooting.
Rock and Ryker had fun running around with the big bangs going on behind them.
They did like watching the shooting and even got to shoot some guns, too.
We celebrated by eating watermelon.  Ryker decided to eat the watermelon the messiest way possible.
 It got pretty messy.
Jensley couldn't believe what she was seeing!
You'd think that she'd be used to seeing Ryker making a mess with his food.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if his older brother didn't encourage him...
Last week I ordered DeA some beautiful flowers to keep her feeling loved while I was away at my race.  On the website they asked who the flowers were for, and I realized that there are some lonely, lonely people out there.

Self-shots and FHE

I've warned DeA before that I will use any pretty picture on the camera, so...
Yesterday before church Rock asked for Mickey Mouse pancakes so we made them together.  Even thought he doesn't look like it, he was pretty excited.
 See?  He was happy.
Meanwhile, Ryker was happy to just sit and chow the yummies.
I've been able to get back in the habit of running in the morning and it makes Ryker parched.  He loves chugging most of my Gatorade.
Tonight we had everyone over to our homestead for dinner and FHE.  Rock's activity was to hold Jensley.  Jensley's activity was to beg for protection from her brother.
At least he was happy about it.
Ryker has worn himself into a semi-coma.  He loves just running and running outside in the sun until he is wasted.  Then he crashes on the couch.
So, in summary, this was most of our FHE activity.
Rock noticed that DeA loves to take self-shots, so he copied her.

He couldn't get his thumbs up in the self-shot, so he asked for help.
He also couldn't get this pose either, so here you go.
Ryker just kept on sleeping through it.
Jensley finally got her wish and relaxed contently.
Should I be worried that she already seems to pose for pictures?
 Same activity, different location.
I guess Jensley decided that Ryker had a good idea going.
When she did wake up she was pretty happy.
 She likes herself some attention.
 Yup, loves loves loves it.
Mama Rae brought over some games for FHE and Rock just kept cheating and cheating.
 Smiles!
 Adorable smiles.
 Yup, we are smitten.

Summer Keeps On Trucking!

Our little guys are loving the heck out of this summer.  Rock is spending so much time in the sun that he stole my sunglasses.  He did tell me to buy myself some new ones, then we can be sunglasses twins.
We took them to Green Dot on Saturday for some sandwiches and ice cream.  Rock might be the only little boy to order vanilla as his favorite flavor.
Ryker ordered cotton candy but then asked why his ice cream was colored while Rock's was white.  He might not trust us or something.
The other night Rock got out of the van and peed in the bushes.  Ryker decided to try it, too.  No pee yet, but lots of pushing and farts.
Speaking of pushing and farts: little Jensley went a long three days without going poo.  She then made up for it completely when she did all three days' worth in one shot.  It was pretty epic.

Rock has been on an astronaut kick lately, so his Uncle Nick made him a space helmet out of a box that showed up out of nowhere.
This is his astronaut face, because astonauts don't smile.
Ryker loved the fire works during the Fourth of July and keeps asking for more.  He also is getting taller and slimmer which is nice and all, but sometimes I miss our little chubby Gyker.
Mom got us tickets to Les Miserables last week and so we all drove over caravan style.  Rock and Ryker both enjoyed some Burger King, but that may be more about their cool crowns than the food.
They both did love their mini kid cones.
Jensley is still soaking up all this attention.
Someone at one point bought Ryker some swim flippers.  He likes to pretend that he is a duck and people love him for it.
Last Thursday Uncle Len had Wai Tim set up the outdoor screen and projector.  While the kids waited for it to get dark they got to enjoy rides on the trailer.

A Very Jensley Summer and Saul Run

Our Jensley sure is a happy baby.  She loves showing off her cute little smile.
The boys wanted held constantly when they were her age, but she loves just chillaxing and enjoying Baby Story.
Occasionally her peace is disturbed by someone else in the house.  Usually it is the same person...
Most of the time these 'visit' are happy and playful...
But other times she feels a little smothered.
"No, it's cool.  She's still smiling!  She likes my attack face!"
"Ahh!!  Attack face!"
Foreground: Looks like the happiness is over.
Background: Rock demonstrates the other way that Jensley's peace is disturbed.
The Saul Gallegos Memorial Run was a few weeks ago.  Rock has been training hard and was pretty excited to show off his skills.  He fueled his fire by downing a big bowl of Cheerios.
Ryker has also trained for the run, but he also has been training his aunts to carry him.  So, he went with the easier option.
"Forward, Ho!"
"I will fly like Superman!"
Uncle Nick made it into town to help keep Ryker's rides fresh.
"I win the ribbon for being the cutest runner, right?"
Yeah, she is that good of a baby.  Just chilling.
The parks department left the sprinklers on, probably thinking that the boys would love to run in them.  So they did.  (Warning: What follows is a group of pictures of the boys being cute.  I couldn't decide which ones to keep and which ones to delete so I kept them all.  It's my blog.  Deal with it.)
The boys that hate getting in a shower sure love getting sprayed by sprinklers.
Ryker has been especially obsessed with sprinklers lately.
An added bonus was that everyone thought that they had run really, really hard.  That made people impressed.
"Awesome!"
Also, notice how Ryker is getting longer and leaner.  He's not the chubby little Gyker that he used to be.
"Best run ever!"

It wasn't a very warm day, so both boys were pretty cold and wet by the end.  But they both just kept on trucking.
They even did their best to include others in the fun.
I'll put more pictures of the run up when they put them online, but it was another fun year.
