A Very Whitni Wedding

We are halfway through our two weeks of treks after returning home from Whitni and Stewie's wedding.  The flights there were tiring for the kids, but they seemed to endure it well.
Saturday afternoon there was a luncheon way up on the hill.  Even though Whitni hogged most of the attention the boys were able to leach leftover attention from Nick, Rissa and others.
Jensley never seems to have a hard time finding attention.
Everyone took a turn telling a story about Whitni, Stewie or both of them.  As expected Whit loved the attention (and who wouldn't?).
I guess they deserved the attention, it being their day and everything.
Hearing the stories were pretty fun, except for Mom yelling at me to sit down and shut up.

Jensley slowly realized that attention was going elsewhere and she wasn't cool with it.
Rock finally found a phone and weathered the 'old people stories' by watching Batman cartoons.
Ryker didn't let the talking stop him from working the room.
Here are our little guys all cleaned up and handsome.  DeA wanted a picture to prove that it happened at some point before the wedding.
We tried to get pics of the kids in front of the temple, this was the best one that we could achieve.
 This one is good, too.
The wedding was beautiful and people cried (no, not me) and then Jens posed for pictures.
It is always great to see family laugh and smile at the happy events and good news.

I guess Jens wasn't the only one posing for pictures.

Jens liked her attention from Aunt Lesa.
Ryker and Rock played with Joel and Rissa during the ceremony.  They seemed to survive well.

Eventually Whit and Stewie made their grand exit from the temple and stole Jens' thunder.  She let them know that she wasn't pleased.

After the temple we headed to Sherry's for Cafe Rio and a reception.  Nick made a video of the couple growing up that was played during the party.
Look at Whit, isn't she pretty?  So are Mama Rae and Jens.
Jens eventually found the cinnamon chips and strolled around munching.
Rock spent most of his time on the trampoline and didn't let Jens stop him from jumping high.  He wore himself out to the point that in his sleep he started screaming about the trampoline.
I call these two shots "An Evolution of a Photobomb".

Ain't no party like a TJ party cuz a TJ party don't stop...at least until his mom says it stops.
Jens found lots of love and attention with Uncle Dave.
By the end of the party the kids were pretty worn out, grumpy and tired.  We used candy to lure them into the van (that sounded creepier than I wanted, but now I have to leave it there...).

Rock was melting down and didn't want his picture taken.  He was asleep about three minutes later.
Ryker was asleep thirty seconds later.
Jens didn't even make it out of the driveway.
The flight home was pleasantly easy.  Rock watched Ice Age the whole way and ate about a bag of Pirate's Booty.
Thanks to Nick's willingness to help Jens found a comfy spot for a nap.
Buzz Lightyear powered down for a rejuvination hyper sleep.
DeAndra finally got to crash in the car when she knew the kids were tied down (literally).

Superheroes

Rock has always loved Superheroes, but ever since I got him Lego Batman he has taken it up a notch.  The game is pretty cool because they don't just get to be Batman but also Superman, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and all the other cool ones (notice I didn't say Spiderman.  Spiderman is not one of the cool ones).  They figured out that you can mix and match the characters to create a supersuperhero, like a flying Batman with laser vision.

Well, Rock has taken that into the real world and is no longer just Superman, but here is is pirate-baseball-Lightning-Superman.
Ryker is pretty happy to be whatever, so this time he was Ryker with an alien on his head.
And all this fuss just to go to Doug's for Sunday dinner.
In other news, the kids love playing with Mama Rae.
Rock planned a 'boy tea party' and assured us that it wasn't a sissy tea party.  He had Oreos, brownies and lemonade.
Even though Jens loves brownies she still knows the importance of sharing.  What a little lady.
Oh, and she also knows how to shove it in her mouth before the boys realize she has something that they'd want.

Ryker has been acting like the middle child lately so I've been spending more quality time with him.  Today was take your Ryker to work day.  He dressed up in his work clothes and rocked out to Foo Fighters on the way to the office.
Once there he helped patient's find the room and entertained one of the little boys that came with his mom.
DeA picked him up after grabbing Rock and met Jeff and Jeffrey and Aleasha and Kendra all at the park.  Jens loves the swings.
That's a smile and a scream.  She especially likes to go high and do an underdog.
