Busy, Busy, Busy

I received a call while at work from DeA saying that the kids may have a new pet. I came home to the kids loving on this cute German shepherd looking dog who already had a name, bed and favorite food. It was gone to its real home the next morning but the kids still look out the window every now and then hoping he came back.
Ryker and Jens are quickly adapting to life without Rock on Mondays. It's full of treats and Curious George cartoons.
And naps, lots and lots of naps.
The hospital sponsored a fun run at the old golf course in Manson. It was pretty early in the morning for lil' Jens.
She had a hard time getting into the spirit of the race.
Rock was pretty excited about the race and even told Grandpa Dale that he needed protein to go along with the carbs in his donut...so he asked for a chicken strip.
The race started and the kids took off like bullets...
...except for Rock, who stayed behind. He said his stomach hurt and he couldn't run. I tried to mkae him but he insisted that he wasn't doing well.
He must have been telling the truth since he took two long naps once we arrived home.
Even going to Gpa and Gma's couldn't invigorate him.
Gpa and Gma had to replace their dishwasher and Ryker had a hard time saying goodbye to the old one.
This fall was the fall of soccer since Ryker and Rock were both on teams. Jens insisted on participating as the ghost of soccer future.
When he crashes he crashes with style.
Rock had real soccer games in Chelan, with unis and refs and everything.
Speaking of crashing, Ryker crashes wherever and whenever he can.
Jens still loves flying with Papa Dale and probably always will.
"LET IT GO! LET IT GO! LET IT GO!"
"LET IT GO! LET IT GOOOOOOOO!"
"Papa Dale, why did you kill my headphones?"
The kids picked out a new bouncer for the office, he seems to be more popular with the younger kids than the older folks.
As deer season was getting closer and Rock overheard Nick, Gpa Dale and I planning for opening day he demanded that he be included in the hunt. I wasn't sure about waking him up at 4 am but he shot right up and was ready to go.
Here he is practicing for the after hunt picture.
It was a great day for hunting and Nick shot a four point.
Rock had a ball, he even enjoyed cleaning Nick's deer, although his Mommy didn't think there was anything clean about what he did.
His enthusiasm wore thin and he eventually crashed in the car on the way home.
"Is it bedtime yet? It's been a long day."
