It's hard to believe it, but our little guy is growing up so fast! He's a whole three weeks old today, so to celebrate we took him out to dinner for the first time. He had a hard time finishing his burrito, so unfortunately I had to finish it. But the beans he ate sure are doing their job. He and his mother had quite a little wind breaking competition on the way home. He's got a ways to go, because DeAndra 'blew' him away. And now he has a little buddy to play with since Connor James came tonight! Special congratulations to Aaron and Jacquelyn Dynamite Young!!
And here are the pics of sweet baby Rock! DeAndra took some bath pictures, but made me fix them to avoid nudity on the blog. Sorry folks, but I don't think she is budging on this one.

Rock Solid!!
The last couple of nights have been a little rough. About 8pm Rock gets a little sleepy, but he hasn't learned how awesome sleep is, so he tries to fight going to sleep. He gets a little cranky and we are lost. But we recently found out that he likes to ride in his carseat all over town. He especially likes to ride it through the A&W drive thru and listen to his dad order a root beer float. Since we are good parents we give him what he wants.
Big news for the day is that Grandpa Myron made Rock a little cradle. It is made from red oak and is beautiful. Thank you Grandpa! It is awesome!!

Baby Rock!!!
The little guy is doing so well. He's growing and gaining personality all the time. Everytime we think he's moving right along, he does something to remind us that he's still a baby. Like in this first pic, we asked him how old he is and as you can see he said three weeks. Silly guy, he's only two and half weeks old. Babies can be so wrong sometimes.
This is our latest attempt at capturing a smile. DeAndra thought it was him smiling, I thought it was a bowel movement. Unfortunately I was right, but he looks cute anyways.

Rock-a-rama!!!
Happy Birthday to DeAndra!! Today DeAndra turns 17, and for her birthday she got a rotating wafflemaker, just like you find in a hotel lobby. The waffles were delicious!! I can't eat ice cream or chocolate cake for breakfast, but I can have a molded cake coated in butter, peanut butter and syrup that is something like 190 proof sugar. I don't get it. You can also have a muffin but no cupcakes. Yogurt with sugar but no ice cream with sugar. And why was I able to eat all these things for breakfast before I got married but now all of a sudden I'm not allowed to? I just don't get it.
Rock is doing great!! He slept really well last night and so DeAndra is doing well. That means that I am doing great!! This first picture is of his smile, but I just can't seem to get a good picture of him smiling. It is either blurry or it looks like an evil smirk.

Happy Birthday Rock!!
For Rock's second week birthday we took him to the pediatrician to get poked and prodded. I'm not a mind reader, but I'm pretty sure he didn't like the check-up. He was doing so well until they made him lie buck-naked on a cold table while they weighed and measured him. And if that wasn't enough they put drops in his eyes at the same time. Poor guy, but at least they didn't have to check his lungs. The good news is that he has gained two whole pounds since he left the hospital, the bad news is that he still can't use the potty on his own. According to their charts he is amazingly average. These first pics are of Rock wearing the Seahawks onesie that uncle Nick sent him. And no, he's not crying, he's asking "What time is it?" and then he waits for me to say "It's game time!" Then he poops all over the place.
DeAndra dressed him up in his baseball uniform, and so she couldn't help but take lots of pics of him ready to hit the field. Alot of teams have shown interest, but most are reluctant to commit to anything until they see that he can use the toilet. They aren't too keen on having to deal with his "presents" that he'd leave on the infield.
He has a pretty classy hair style right now. It's only coming in on top and in the back, so he looks like a mini blonde haired Billy Raye Cyrus with a mullet and spiked hair. Classy.

Rock-cellent!!
Baby Rock is doing very well, thank you all for asking. My only complaint is that he seems to think that he is in college because he stays up until 4 or 5 in the morning and then sleeps all day. On top of it all, he refuses to do any of his chores, makes a mess and eats all his roommate's food. But I can't be mad, he's just doing what his mom did when she was in college. This first picture was taken while we were sitting up with him watching ESPNews for the 43rd time. In case you were wondering, there is nothing on at 4 am. Nothing.
DeAndra is looking good, she's had her setbacks but is doing great. She's an awesome mommy!! You can tell she's a good mommy by looking at the sweatshirt that she is wearing. Helping me teach the boy from a young age to be a Seahawk!!
This is our friend, Jacque Dynamite Young, coming by to visit Rock. I don't think she knew that DeAndra and I were even home at the time.
