Catch Up Time

Lots of stuff has happened since we posted last, so here's your massive catch up entry.

The boys thought about getting into horse racing, but decided that picking horses that were their height wasn't a great strategy.
Ryker learned how to finally get that food off of the corner of his mouth that had been there for weeks.
The Easter Bunny made a visit and the boys were excited to get their baskets of swag.
They enjoyed taking a warm bath to wash off the dirt from their playing.
The cousins had an Easter Egg hunt at Mama Rae's and Papa Dale's on Sunday.
Rock did pretty well for himself, and he did it all without getting his shirt dirty.

Ryker tried to invent a new game called long pole.  It's still in the developmental stage, and he kept breaking the bamboo stick with his massive forearms.

He also enjoyed himself some chocolate.  Mmm....chocolate...
Um...I hope that's chocolate.
The weather was perfect in Manson, so the boys enjoyed some quality outdoor time.  They haven't been able to get a lot of outdoor time in Seattle, with the rain and all.
Ryker is just starting to get to the point where he can wrestle back when Rock attacks him.  He isn't to the point where he can wrestle well, but he still tries.  He is almost as big as Rock, so soon he will be the one doing the body slams.
He's adorable.
He did earn himself an owie on his pristine noggin.  Luckily it won't scar like most of Rock's injuries, but it's still something.
DeA wanted a pic to show the similarities between Ryker's eyes and mine.
Ryker is still loving the ability to get that food on his lip.
And finally we loaded up the car and came back to the house in Renton for one last week.  This was the last week that we'll have to load the kids and DeA up on Sunday afternoon!
So, there's your massive catch up blog.  Hope you liked it.  Just for making it through that long post I thought I'd give you a bonus video.

Starving Actors

Recently Mama Rae and Twampa Dale flew to Florida to see Mickey Mouse.  Rock really thought he was going to get to tag along, and wasn't cool about not being invited.  He tried to think of how he could make them take him with them, and the best he could come up with was to hide our camera in their luggage.  I'm not quite sure what he thought that would accomplish, but that doesn't change the fact that the camera was in Florida for a week.  Now that it's back we can access the adorable pics that were on it.

The boys found some artsy hats and pretended to be struggling artists.  That's why Ryker doesn't have a shirt on.
The older Ryker gets, the more he looks like Grandpa Myron.  The hat makes him a definite doppelganger.

The boys sure do put on a good show.

Ryker loves to show off his chiseled abs and beefy thighs.
Rock wasn't sure if he wanted to be an artist or street performer.  He pretended to use my mini board as his drum.
Ryker loves painting and making awesome stuff.  Too bad his mommy didn't let him paint the bedroom wall.
Lil' Ryker saw me lower the blinds one night and decided that he had to have the string.  He stood right on the edge of the couch and reeaaaccchhhheedd as far as he could.  He did finally get a hold of it, but by then couldn't remember what he wanted to do with it.
DeA has been talking about starting some sweet action sweet family traditions, and one thing she's wanted to do is make General Conference weekend extra special.  Lucky for us she decided on making her awesome caramel cinnamon rolls.  Rock loved helping her with the 'steam roller'.

Ryker really wanted to help and even brought over his own chair.
"Come on, guys, let me help!"
Rock was proud that he didn't get his hat dirty.  He didn't care about the other stuff.
Ryker really liked his job as taste tester.  He thought the dough tasted a little raw, but loved the brown sugar and white sugar and butter.
Well, other stuff happened for a week, but we don't have that stuff on film.  Eventually Mama Rae and Twampa Dale got back from Florida with some cool stuff, like an authentic Sheriff Woody hat!  Rock has worn it everywhere, except to church.  When we got to church Cole was wearing his cowboy hat, and so Rock demanded to know why he couldn't wear his.
Ryker's been on a little growth spurt lately that has made his clothes a little short on him.  The positive thing is that his belly is so cute and raspberry friendly.
DeA introduced the boys to artichokes tonight.  She tried to convince them that they were the greatest thing ever.  I don't think they completely bought it.

Ryker really thought he would like the giant weed.
After he wasn't so sure, and for good reason

Memoirs of a Ryger

Here is our little Ryger.  He spends his time plotting maulings and cuddlings.  Sometimes plotting looks like sleeping, but he's not...he's always got something going.
He's not always a Ryger, sometimes he's just our little Ryker.
His mommy has started the process of weaning little Ryker, so he's started to look for substitutes.
He likes getting his picture taken, and he knows how to look adorable.
He gets that adorableness from his mommy and Rock.
This was right before rock rode the bicycle all around the store and didn't anything.  Well, I guess you can say he didn't hit anything if you don't count old ladies or babies.
Meanwhile, someone's still looking adorable over here.
Between the eating and weaning and adorableness, little Ryker is just waiting for a chance to be Ryger.  That's when he can look off in the distance and decided how he can maul a grizzly bear without getting his Ryger suit bloody.
It's nice when Rock's asleep, because then the Ryger doesn't have to worry about interruptions or form tackles.
"...and then I'd reach under and grab the bear's tail and pull it out through his neck..."
"oh, but that might get bloody, too..."
"Uh oh, Mommy's coming!  Time to look adorable, because that yam wasn't very yummy."

Munchies, Doctors, Windsey and Dewek

Mama Zista and Papa Dave are gone now, but these pictures of breakfast with them live on.  Ryker loved his blueberry pancake, so much so that he rent off his shirt in approval.  That's a lot of approval.
He didn't even need butter, syrup or Nutella spread on his pancake, he just shoved it in his mouth.
Rock went with a more traditional approach involving untensils and clothes.
Later that night Ryker wanted to show DeA his appreciation for the delicious pancakes but couldn't seem to find her.  He could have sworn that she was right here a second ago.
"I think I found her!"
"I did!  I did find her!"
As promised, here's Windsey and Dewek.  Rock and Ryker like them.
I'm not going to say that the boys are clingy, but everytime DeA went into another room this was the scene.  Once they figure out how to use their Handy Manny Lock Picking tool set she will never, ever, ever have a moment alone.  And I think that's the way mommies like it.
Unfortunately the visit had to end, but the boys did enjoy breaking down the guest bed.
Rock loves jumping, and he keeps his little legs bend and together like a bunny.  Also, he loves Bugs Bunny cartoons.  And the bunny hill when skiing.  And snow bunnies while skiing, even though he is a little young for them, but they know that he's mature for his age.
In the closet of the guest room we keep my diagnostic equipment while we wait for England Chiropractic to take shape.  While taking the sheets off of the bed Rock found my stuff and decided he wanted to be Dr. Rock.
"Hmm...I think I can hear mommy trying to have alone time.  This thing is awesome!"
Rock even knew how to put the blood pressure cuff on Ryker's arms and legs and then pump it up.  Luckily his little fingers aren't strong enough to pump it up very much, otherwise Ryker's appendages might go blue.

"Man, this is hard work.  I should go golfing."
"Wyker, stay still!"
