Mariners Game and Other End of Summer Fun

The entire summer had almost passed us by without being able to make it to a Mariners game. We loaded the kids up after work on Friday and drove straight to Nick's apartment. The kids learned quickly that jumping in an elevator isn't just fun but it also scares Mommy. That's twice the fun!
She's not jumping here, but she is proud of her princess nightgown that makes Mommy jealous.
It was good timing to go to the game since it was Felix Bobblehead Night. Jens was proud of hers and did not let it out of her sight.
She trusted no one to help her carry it.
The roof was closed because of random rain showers, otherwise it was a pretty nice day in Seattle.
Honestly, I think Ryker had the best idea for dealing with the Mariners' terrible offense.
Someone got new sunglasses with bedazzles.
Jens and I helped fly Papa Dale to Brewster to take pictures of the new golf course.
 She loves flying with Grandpa.
From a distance Brewster doesn't look bad.
The entire flight was filled with jabber and the occasional "Hampa! HAMPA! HAAMMPPAA!". When Dad answered her she would say "I in helicopper!"
I chased her around the practice greens while dad flew the photographer. She randomly started doing her exercise routine including crunches and lunges.
At one time I tried to count the pictures of the kids when I loaded them into the blog. I really tried to keep things balances and even. The problem became that Rock runs from the camera and Ryker pretends like he doesn't know I'm going to take a picture. So Princess Jensley ends up being the main subject in my camera roll.
Speaking of Rock and running, he loves going for runs with music. Normally it is down on the treadmill with my phone, but sometimes he gets to be a free range Rock and run to Grandma's house.
He did this all himself, including adjusting the headphones and picking out the hat.
He wasn't happy on Sunday when 'his' run turned into a walk with his siblings. The reason was that DeA was taking a lovely Sunday nap and the kids kept trying to wake her up.
He got to run out in front of us until he reached an intersection, large dog or vagrant. Luckily he only had to stop for intersections.
The run worked because that evening all they wanted to do was watch the iPad with Huddy and Kassy and be kind of quiet.

Finishing Summer in Medford

August flew by amazingly fast, it seemed like it was over before it began.
It was definitely filled with fun and bubbles.

It also had its share of worn out naps in the car after swimming.
It is starting to be a tradition that DeA and the kids spend a few weeks in Medford with her parents. Rock loved the trip because he had full access to the golf cart. He is a very good driver and definitely confident...maybe a little too confident.
Every time I called DeA the kids were either getting ready to swim, were in the pool or were asking to get back in the pool.

They spent a few nights on the beach in Brookings at the Judd's favorite coast hangouts.

Ryker is a pretty cool cat.
Look how much fun they had without me.
At some point Grandma ordered them some new costumes that they already are starting to wear out.
Rock headed the advice to wear sunscreen very seriously.
Ryker learned that he really likes doggies.

It looks to me like they had a great time.

When you play hard you also have to rest hard, and they did a lot of resting.
The kids think it is a tradition that when Mama Lisa is around they make sugar cookies. I don't know if it's a real tradition or not but they do it every time.

Rock prepared an outline pattern for his cookies.

They really had a great time.
Rock might need bigger goggles. I'm not sure but I just think the ones he has are too tight.
Did I mention that they rested hard?
The boys each got a skateboard and took to the skate park to shred. Rock definitely looks the part.

 More doggies!
 Always the delicate lady.
This is one of my favorite pictures of Ryker.

They were usually very sweaty and hot by the end of each day.

This is a pretty typical picture of Rock
They were stoked to find a Captain America hydrant.
They seemed to literally be transformed into fishes.

On the way home we stayed the night in Biggs and enjoyed a classic hotel breakfast of Frosted Flakes and muffins.
There was a week between the end of the trip and school starting, so helping Mama Rae get her room ready was important. Huddy never stands still enough for a good picture.
