We signed Jens up for a little soccer camp/league in town. She seemed to really enjoy it.
Rock helped with HS baseball and Jens played soccer, all Ryker had to do was cuddle with Leo.
We spent part of Memorial Day at the cemetery visiting Gpa and Gma's graves.
The kids think that they need to do rubbings
At least it gets them there and interested
Jensley took me on a walk, it's always fun
Debbie and Lisa came to help DeA organize the house, while they were here they helped her make my birthday dinner. Ryker was not sure about the chicken cordon bleu
They found a place to hang the Kingdome outfield wall logo
Here is DeA cuddling with Leo's butt for some reason.
DeA wanted a weekend alone for my birthday, so we took off for Kellogg, ID. Why Kellogg? Because it was somewhere that we had never before visited and it had mountains. Also, it was in the free state of Idaho and not the forever-locked-down state of Washington.
We found a nine-hole golf course and DeA let me take her golfing for my birthday. It started out a little wet and she thought really hard about spending the last eight and a half holes in the car.
Thankfully the weather cleared out and it turned into a good day.
The trees all had a weird look, like they were rendered from the same image for a video game.
It was a rough start, but she was smiling by the end.
Her pre-shot routine was a little unorthodox
The course was only nine holes, but they were spectacular.
We celebrated at the only restaurant open after seven on a Friday night.
It was a fun vibe, with pool and an arcade. I don't know where the people were, it was kind of perplexing because the hotels and resorts were full, but the restaurants were either closed or empty.
The HS baseball season was weird, lots of games were cancelled and the team was only going to play a handful of games. I have wanted to play baseball for a long time, and I had the idea to organize a HS vs. alumni baseball game. The response was huge, and we were able to get a big group that wanted to play. The game was a blast, someone hit what should have been a homerun but the pitcher's dad was the umpire and he called it foul to save his son the embarrassment of serving up a loooonnnggg home run to an old guy. Rock and the other managers got to play the last inning, Rock almost made an incredible catch and tag, but unfortunately (for him, not the alumni) he couldn't quite hold on while making an athletic swipe tag attempt.
I can't wait to play again next year, and DeA is already sick of hearing me talk about it.
The evenings have been perfect for sitting on the porch and enjoying the sunsets.
DeA isn't a big fan of posing for my pictures
The kids still love to sleep out on the couch. I can't believe that the living room is that comfortable.
DeA convinced me to purchase a trampoline for the "kids"
I have heard "Dad! Watch this!" about a gazillion times since it was assembled.
I was asked to help with Apple Blossom this year, Jens got to fill in as an arch bearer for practice. She was pretty excited.
She got a picture with the royalty as her reward. It was a pretty big deal.
Cambri brought her family over to play on the trampoline.
Handley was more excited to follow Leo Puppy around than to jump on the trampoline.
Things were a little different for Apple Blossom, but the pancake breakfast was still lit.
It was the first time that we felt normal in a long time. The kids loved walking around with Leo Puppy, and even put him in an England Chiropractic shirt. Always be reppin'
DeA ran in the Manson Growers Pig Jig Fun Run. Manson Growers running it means that it was almost all family, including Jens who helped pull tabs.
DeA ran her little heart out.
Leo and his t-shirt were pretty popular.
The candy crew was armed and ready to make it rain.
The primary made these cute little mug shots for Mother's Day.
Tanner has been wearing these ridiculous glasses, they make Nick look like an awkward high school English teacher.
They make Parker look like he's not even allowed within 500ft of a high school.
More trampoline!!
Leo does not like that he is not allowed on the trampoline. He feels so left out.
I brought him to the office to give him a break from the attention.
Not all attention is bad, he likes attention when it involves food.
Our stupid state has the dumbest sports schedule this year, so they are playing a six weeks baseball season. I did the PA for the first doubleheader, Rock was excited to catch during warm ups.
