This kid better not ever complain that he isn't loved

or that he doesn't get enough attention.







Rock got some swim trunks from Aunt Janette, so DeAndra just had to have him show them off. The little guy prefers going 'french beach', but didn't seem to mind the restrictions of swimming shorts. He sure loves showing off his beach body, but is a little concerned that Mom isn't letting him work on his tan enough. He understands the allure of a well tanned, chiseled body and doesn't understand why he isn't allowed to sunbath 'natural style' in the backyard.

"Oh come on, Mom! Don't make me pose like this! I want to flex my rippling muscles!"

"Oh yeah, I'm that sexy. The ladies want me, and the men want to be me!"

A glimpse into the mind of Rock!!

Apparently he likes milk. Who knew?The little guy went through a little spell for about a week or so where he refused to sleep through the night. I learned pretty quickly not to wake up in the morning and say "Hey, Rock must have done well last night, I didn't wake up once!" Poor DeAndra, I would wake up and find her asleep with Rock in the recliner or slumped over on the couch after feeding him. But the last couple of nights he has done really well and made it through the entire night! Before you celebrate, DeAndra wants to make it very clear that the downside to him sleeping so long is he has extra time to fill his diaper with presents for Mommy. Since he loves to share, he puts way to many presents in the diaper, and that means that DeAndra gets to hose him down, as well as his bedding. The good news in all of this is that he has been sleeping in past my first class, so I am far away when all this happens. That brings me to my next point; I like morning classes!

This video is a little special, because Rock has learned how to roll over! He would happily roll over for DeAndra and I, until there was a camera involved. I'm not kidding, he would just sit there while we were filming, and then as soon as the camera was put down he would roll over and then laugh. He's a little turkey. But finally he let us capture his new talent on film, so enjoy!

We Love Out Little Guy!!

We caught some good video of Rock being unbelievably cute. He is so amazingly adorable, and, unfortunately for everybody else, we love telling people how cute he is!

Teenage Rock

Of course Rock isn't a teenager yet, but lately he's been trying to act like one. For example, last night he decided he wanted to stay up and watch the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade instead of going to bed at his bed time. Since he went to bed late he slept in pretty late and then he tried to sleep through church. Once we got home DeAndra wanted to take a nap, but the little guy was listening to Pearl Jam and yappin' on the phone. So she didn't get her nap today. He's lucky he's so adorable, because every time DeAndra storms over to him with a pillow case full of door knobs he just looks up and smiles at her. It melts her little heart.

Sabado Gigante!!

We had a little barbeque for Aaron Young and I for our birthdays. The gals did a great job and made a football birthday cake with Rock and Connor on it. give or take a little. Rock is doing well, but since he tries to gnaw on everything we are starting to wonder if he is teething. Right now he's working on a sirloin steak, raw so that it stays chewy longer. I hope he doesn't slobber to much on it, I was hoping that steak was going to be dinner tonight. But I don't really want it if it's covered in baby slime.

The Liberator

It's no big secret that I enjoy driving. But the thing is I hate being tied down and restrained. I need to run free, but the evil town of Davenport has gone out of its way to crap on my parade. They have installed sensors on the stupid stoplights that make them turn red every time the Intrepid gets anywhere close to them. I hate them so much, one of these nights I'm going to drive around with a pellet gun and make the pain stop. Then I can run free of oppression and tyranny. Think of me as the Iowa version of George Washington, Che Guevara and San Martin all rolled into one.


Rock has been getting so much bigger, faster and stronger lately that he has turned is attention to posing for Heisman trophy. I'd say he's doing pretty good.
DeAndra loves this fat, lazy squirrel and thinks its funny that it is such friends with our porch. So she wanted me to put it in the post.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Here's your Mother's Day gift mom! And, while I'm thinking of it, some people are starting to complain that all the pictures seem to look the same. Um, that's because he's a baby and always does the same things in the same places! So, I'm not going to name names, but the person that complained doesn't have to look at the blog, since she gets to spend all day with him anyways!
The little guy loves sucking his hands. We have a hard time taking any pictures of the kid without his hands covering his face.







Here's little Rock letting DeAndra give him a little Mother's Day lovins. Isn't it a good thing that he gets his looks from her? Lucky kid, he's better looking and already cooler than I am. But, the important thing is I don't have to look at myself everyday, I get to look at this pretty lady! What a sucker, I totally tricked her in to settling!

Lucky for me, since Rock is so cute I get away with the easiest Mother's Day present ever!



If only you could see what DeAndra is doing to get him to laugh...that's the real fun stuff.
