I Know, I Know...

Holy cow, I know the blog needs more love and attention than it is getting right now.  But things have been really busy, okay?  I mean, it's getting harder and harder for Ryker to sleep in until 9am every day (but somehow he still finds it easy to be awake half the night).
Jensley is in up to her eyes in stress.  Do you have any idea how hard it is to constantly be producing poop? And not just any kind of poop, but high quality stuff?  According to her it is pretty hard.
She takes it all and throws out a big smile when she produces her masterpiece.
The boys have tried hard to keep up their weekly meetings at the pizza place.  Ryker understands how hard it is to keep the chocolate milk happy.
Luckily Rock is here to take care of the Sprite.  He told me that he's a big boy now and doesn't drink chocolate milk, just Sprite.

Unexpected Trip to Medford

On Tuesday of last week we got the unfortunate call that DeA's Grandma Jean had passed away.  We bought DeA a ticket for the next day so that she could be there as soon as possible.

Luckily my mom and dad were driving down to the Oregon Coast on Friday, so they took the boys halfway to Kelso.  After work I drove down and met them and the next day we finished the trip.

The little guys did pretty well, but about three hours into the five hour trip started asking to run around.  And anyone that's roadtripped with kids knows that kids don't ask once and then trust that you'll follow through.  They ask every freaking second of every dang minute until you pull over.   So we did.
The burst of exercise seemed to do them a lot of good.
Jensley was loving all the alone time with Mommy, Grandma and Lindsey, so she wasn't sure how she felt about the boys showing up.
But she is also a baby, so maybe she didn't know what was going on at all.
All of the cousins started to show up after we got there, and there was lots of attention to go around.  This is Val's son (I cannot remember his name and DeA is still in Oregon) and the boys reading a riveting story.
I flew home on Monday while DeA and the boys enjoy being around family.  This is Rocko with his new best friend who is also the little brother of Dustin's girlfriend.  Her name is Marissa and I think his name is Steven.  But it also might be Thomas or Jwaquon.  Either way they have been playing together like little champs.

We Have a Bike Rider!

Rock has been asking to take his training wheels off of his bike for a while now.  Papa Dale finally gave in and took them off and let him loose at Mama Rae's school.  The little guy picked it up in about 30 seconds.  Now look at him zipping around like a pro!

For Sister Toolson

This is Shannon Toolson.  She was our neighbor when we lived at Wapato Point.  She is a very nice lady with a wonderful family.
But would you believe that her favorite song (according to her son) is Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard??  Ryker thinks that is pretty groovy.

Naps, Quinceneras, Sunshine and OUCH!

One of the things that we love about Jens is how good of a sleeper she is.  Her brothers could be blowing stuff up right next to her and she will keep on sleeping and looking adorable while doing it.
On Sunday DeA decided to try out Jens' quincenera dress.  She looked pretty pretty in it.
There are our girls.  And even though they are outnumbered two to three, I have a feeling they will find a way to break that majority.
 For example: Crying and punching.
DeA took the kids down to the park to lay in the shade and play.  Jensley likes the sunshine.
 So does Gyky.
They liked laying and posing for pictures.
He isn't even hurting her too much.
Best buddies, at least until she learns how to take his Goldfish.
 MMM...Goldfish.
 MMM...milk...
Here he is reverse attack facing Jens.  He has all sorts of moves like this.
They almost look like they love each other.
 Almost.
It was almost 100 degrees out there today, so DeA made sure they put on sunscreen.  And boy did they.
Globbed that stuff on they did.
That leg will never tan again.
Tonight Dad and I took the boys up to Nate and Girl Nate (Sara)'s house.  As soon as Rock got out of the car he took off running with Emma, then biffed it on the concrete.  He rubbed dirt on it, iced it and then put a band aid on his hand and returned to playing.  He rode the Razor scooter like a little pro for the next twenty minutes.  But his face...his beautiful face.
Nothing a milkshake and some Nilla Wafers can't fix.
But his face.  His beautiful face.  Poor guy.  I'm going to go kiss him better again while he sleeps.  His face.

Headcam Madness and the Rodeo!

Grandpa Dale has been playing around with his new helicopter headcam.  A recent project was to put the cam on Ryker's helmet and see what he sees.
I would post the video, but it is pretty boring and can cause seasickness.
As I left for work on Friday the boys were busy 'summering'.  They were too busy to get up and give me a hug.
After work DeA brought the boys into Chelan and met us at the pizza place.  Ryker fell asleep in the car and we couldn't get him awake no matter what we did.  Here we put his head up against a plastic chair to make him uncomfortable.
Eventually we gave up and just put him in Jensley's carseat.  He didn't look comfortable there, either.  But he still didn't wake up.
Deano brought his parents and Wyatt up from the river to meet us.  They all enjoyed some cold beverages.
After dinner we went up to the rodeo to enjoy some buck and broncs.  Rock made sure to look the part.
He even go to learn how to lasso, and caught something on his first try!
Ryker enjoyed his first rodeo, especially the popcorn, hotdogs, drinks, cotton candy, nachos...
Yeah, he loved it.
He loved it a lot.
Rock got to participate in the chicken race!  Try and see how long you can follow him in this mess of kids!
He didn't catch a chicken.  He wasn't okay with that.

Los Chicos

Jensley is still growing and being all cute and adorable.

So is out Gyker Dale.
He is starting to get long and skinny, which isn't like me at all, but our mailman in Iowa....
You can notice that he still has the scar from Deseret Book.  Poor little guy.
Rock looks handsome no matter what he is wearing.
He was pretty excited that his cousin Hudson was born the other day.  He loves holding the little baby.
