Grammy Rae's Visit Part II

Not to take anything away from DeAndra's post, but there were other leftover pictures that were just going to go bad if they weren't used right away. So, here's a picture of Rock and Grammy getting ready to go to the store.
Rock loves Grammy, and it doesn't hurt that she gets him cool cars and baseball bats.
We all went to Toys 'R Us and he got to test drive some new rides.

Long story short, the dealership got a little tired of Rock's refusal to commit (or show a valid ID) so he had to randomly wonder the store with his baseball bat looking for stuff to club.

Well, after Grammy left, Rock was left to find his attention from just his two parents. He was a little concerned that Mommy wasn't running at full speed, so he tried to give her a tune up. First he adjusted her nostrils.
Then he checked to make sure her kisser was working. It was.
Grammy left him some blocks before she took off, and he loves building a tower, smashing it and then throwing the shattered pieces all over the house.
He still loves the backpack that DeA bought him, and he carts around the essentials that he will need throughout the day. And by essentials I mean saltine crackers, graham crackers and firecrackers. You know, the things to get you through the day.

Rock likes to walk around the house showing everybody that he's a brick house. Chiseled is an understatement.
DeA told Rock that the blocks Grammy left him were used to build brick houses, so he thought he'd fit right in.
We were teaching Rock how to make a chocolate milk 'stache, and his turned out borderline inappropriate. You know...like 1939 Germany inappropriate.
Um...yeah...that's not helping things. Not helping at all.
We decided to get him cleaned off and back to looking respectable. See, mustache all gone.

My Best Shot

Our trip to Toys R Us with Grammy Rae.

Rock's new backpack. Don't even dare take it away from him. I'm not sure how to get rid of the red eye.

So I'm not quite sure what I'm doing since I have never even done a blog post before but this is to make Daddy happy. I'm sorry there won't be any funny stories to go along with these pictures. We love you and miss you Aaron! I had more pictures to add but for some reason I can't click on the little picture icon so I guess this is all.

Rock Fudd

So, Grampy Dale noticed a similarity between little Rock and one of the most beloved cartoon characters of all time.

Why is DeAndra looking at me like that? Because I wanted to get her pretty face on the blog, and she doesn't like getting her picture taken.
Well, sometimes she really, really likes getting it taken. You never know.
Anyways, that's my pretty lady. Now, on to Rock. Lately he's really been on this golfing kick. He is still loving the other sports, but the golf clubs have been like his security blanket. If you ask me, a club makes me feel a whole lot more secure then a stupid blankie.

He is starting to get blisters from all of his practice swings, so he brought me my golf glove. It didn't really fit, but he didn't mind.
I've noticed that some of my golf balls have been missing, and I couldn't figure out where they'd gone. I put a secret camera to monitor my bag, and caught me a thief!

DeA made the mistake of giving him a gobstopper the other day. Now he is all confused about what to hit and what to eat. His solution is pretty genius: He tries to eat everything and then hits it.

Oh, he's still big into this whole cute phase that he's going through. Adorable.

Rock Doing Work

Rock has voiced some concern lately that his toys aren't even distributed throughout the house. He does his best to spread them around, but somehow they keep ending up back in the same place.
DeA is always talking about how nice a good bubble bath would be, so Rock tries to create one for her. He still doesn't understand why she doesn't seem appreciative.
DeA has had a bout of the 'tummsies' lately, and so Rock helped himself to my diagnostic bag to try and find the problem. The only problem he could find was a severe shortage of Ritz crackers.

Every good worker knows that it is important to eat well. He loves himself his Mac & Cheese. His advice: spend the extra 10 cents and get Kraft, it's worth it.
His favorite daily chore is to sit by the window and wait for Daddy to come home from school.
He's not smiling because he's glad to see me, he's smiling because he has a 'surprise' waiting for me in his diaper.

Rock's Head Shots

Rock's agent recently suggested that he get some candid head shots for his portfolio. He did the classic half smile, like he knows you're taking a picture and trying not to smile.
Then he thought it would be good to show his family side.
Finally, the classic smile.

We Made It Four Years!!

That means that most of our family, friends and acquaintances have lost their initial wager on how long we'd make it.

A Rock's Life

Rock started out the day, just like any other day, by striving to get outside. He was trying to put his shoes on so that Mommy couldn't use that excuse to keep him inside. He had a hard time choosing between his green Crocs and his green camo Crocs. The camo Crocs don't really fit anymore, but they were the ones he found, and it's not like he knows the difference.
After the whole shoe thing was settled he tried to break through DeA's homemade kiddie barrier that she built to mop the floor. He got as high as he could and started asking to go outside. He asked very nicely in his whiny 18-month-old voice that I'm sure all mothers love to hear for about an hour straight.

She finally reminded him that he couldn't go outside until he finished his homework. He wasn't too excited about doing homework in the summer, so he ran and hid.
We roused him out of hiding and made him go back to the office and study. At first he was too hyper from hide-and-seek to concentrate, but he finally settled in and got to work.

AT LONG LAST he was able to go outside and practice his sports so that he can sign a fatty contract and support his parents in their early retirement.

He's got a little work to do on his golf swing and his language on the course.

After working on his golf and baseball swings, his wind sprints and his slide climbing he practiced his showdowns with Connor. They both are pretty intimidating.

The most important part of being a famous athlete? Looking good for the camera!
