Normally we try to do Easter baskets on Saturday morning, leaving Sunday for Christ and the real meaning. But, due to other things (and mostly, forgetting) we didn't get the stuff for the baskets until Saturday night. That meant that today was basket day.
Rock wanted a 'real person' watch, so he gots himself a reals person watch.
The boys both got Big Bopper bats and some sidewalk chalk. Nothing could ever go wrong with those gifts.
"Yeah! Let's go hit stuff!"
Oh, and goggles. They got themselves some goggles.
Nothing like some BP before church.
They were both swinging lefty, so that's a good thing.
Ryker almost had more fun trying to balance the ball on the tee.
Rock kept saying that we needed to cut the tee to make the ball stay. It took some convincing but he finally decided that it was a bad idea.
Ryker's not really swinging here, he's posing for a picture and saying cheese.
They boys had to wear their goggles in the car on the way to church.
"Ready for take off!"
"Locked and loaded!"
"Uuuaaaoooo....too fast!!"
"Not too fast, just right!"
Ryker was so excited about Easter that he fell asleep on the way to Janet and Butch's and woke up on the way home, so he enjoyed some Easter Mac and Cheese.
Oh, I didn't get these pictures until after I had the rest of the blog all ready...so we are going out of order.
The boys colored eggs Saturday night. We were afraid that it would be really messy, and we were right.
They liked having liquid paint to color everything in sight.Rock alternated between skillful, specific artistry and splashing and dashing.
Ryker loved licking the eggs clean after coloring them.
Ryker was intrigued by the insides of the eggs, especially the yellow ball that dissolved down to nothing.
Happy Easters!!
I noticed Ryker carrying his goggles up the aisle during sacrament meeting, and guessed they were from EB :)
ReplyDeleteI went to the swim store but couldn't find cool goggles that fit me. guess will have to live thru these sluggers.
