You know the weather is getting nice when Ryker goes almost nekked. He likes being nekked so much that he will completely destroy his diaper while at the park. The destroyed diaper then gets all over the clothes, so Mommy has no choice but to nekkedize him.
The little puppies got to have a sleepover on Friday night. Dad said when he woke up they were cuddled up like puppies.
Saturday morning Rock asked me if he could go work in the orchard. We grabbed him a shovel, a hoe and a fudgesicle. I don't know why he thinks a fudgesicle is part of working in the orchard, but if the kid wants to work he can have a fudgesicle.
I tried to come up with something he could do that didn't involve lopers, saws or torches. You know, boring stuff. So I told him we had to pull the leaves out from under the trees and then turn over the dirt. He did the whole stinking row.
When he finished the row he looked at me and asked if he could go fishing. We found him a great fishing hole and let him fish to his heart's content.
"This is pretty cool!"
I tied a piece of pipe as weight for him to cast out, but his little fingers weren't big enough to do it right. Maybe I should buy him a Mickey Mouse fishin' stick and some worms for next time.
Can't forget little Ryker. He didn't want to work or fish, but he did want to run the wheel on things. That's kind of work.
You know what else is work? Making oatmeal fudge brownies. That's good work.
We took the guys to Walmart for some things. Ryker fell asleep in the car, so Rock said he would be his pillow.
When Ryker woke up he showed his appreciation by cuddling with Rocko.
Then Rock showed his appreciation by stiff arming Ryker.
Then they cuddled again.
Things are starting to bud and look green, but no blossoms yet. But they're coming...oh yes, they are coming.
Last night the Ryker was pretty tired. He was so tired that he couldn't even brush his teeth.
Haha poor Ryker!
ReplyDeleteThose orchard shots are so Gma Helen! She would be so proud he had a hat on :)
ReplyDeleteRock is so sweet to cuddle his little brother... even if he does sneak a stiff arm in there every once in awhile.
