Vancouver Canucks Trip!

One of the kids' Christmas presents was a trip to Vancouver to watch the Canucks play. We left right after work on Friday and drove up to Canada. The kids and DeA were pretty tired from sleeping in the car the whole way there.

Our VRBO apartment was across the street from the arena. It made things super easy and sweet.

Rock got new hockey gear for his birthday, and thanks to the exchange rate it was a lot better to shop in Canada.
There was a full on Asian grocery store right by our apartment. Thankfully the corona virus hadn't been invented by China yet, or we might have been scared to visit this place. By the way, they eat anything but real food.
We hit the team store before the game, I tried to get Jens to buy this hat, but she preferred a stuffed animal instead.
DeA tagged along for the game, even though she claims to not like hockey. She did say things like "it feels like the white team hits harder, but the blue team keeps the puck better", so she's at least paying attention.
Jens just loves being with her family, and we love being with her.

We had pretty decent seats behind the net that the Canucks attacked twice. We saw the game winning goal right in front of us, so that was cool.
The game had a little bit of everything; close game, timely goals, a massive fight, and a pretty DeAndra yelling ugly things at the Sharks. What more could you want from a hockey game?
The kids didn't eat at the arena like we thought, so we ended up taking them to a sports bar in downtown Vancouver at 11pm. You know, like responsible parents do.
The kids were exhausted, DeA was exhausted, and the Boston Pizza was filled with drunk hockey fans and MMA fans. They kept stopping at our table to high five the kids and to talk about the hockey game. The kids loved it, DeA not so much.
She's always pretty, even when she's tired.
Ryker did not make it through dinner.
We walked back to the apartment and the kids collapsed in the couch bed before they could change into pjs or brush their teeth.
Nothing like a Wang Kids Bong from the weird Asian store.
Watching an Asian guy make hibachi food without a mask. That was life before the corona virus.
The corona noodles were really good.
