DeA and the kids picked me up after work on Friday and we began the trip to the southern Oregon coast. We stopped at a Perkins and the kids discovered cheese sticks.
It was a long drive on Friday and Saturday
We were definitely tired of riding in the car by the time we arrived Saturday evening. After some pizza, we started a fire on the beach.
There was wittle else to do but sharped some sticks.
It might seem boring, but it was great to just relax on the beach next to the fire and listen to the waves.

We were told that we couldn't just smother the fire with sand, and needed to put water on it. This was the only water that we had.
