Stewhit Reception: The Take Home Game

So we flew down to Utah for Stewhit's wedding and reception a couple of weeks ago.  That was fun.  Then we drove down to Medford (which is in Southern Oregon, not Western) for Maristin's wedding and reception.  That was fun, too.  Then we had Apple Blossom and Stewhit's at home reception...if it weren't for the giant bounce house my kids would have lost their little minds.
It took a lot of work (mostly by other people), but we got the patio, waterfall and new stairs ready for the reception.  Then we (but mostly other, more creative people) decorated the new patio/waterfall area.  Krissy, Bonnie, Mom and others (I'm not sure, I know Lesa was there and another Bonnie, maybe) made it look pretty cool.
DeAndra spent her time telling me that she didn't like pictures while posing for pictures.
Dad was just glad that everything came together at the end and he could finally sit down and relax.
Rissa was pretty busy checking the ice cream machine to make sure it still worked.

Whitni and Stewie both put on their wedding clothes for one last chance to show off.
"Mmm...delicious soft-serve!"
"So the gun that I'm going to use to shoot the ice cream machine is this big."
Donna Coggins made a ton of delicious pies.
Krissy was a trud about letting me take her picture, so I had to try and sneak them in.
She didn't like it and threatened me.
Jensley was in heaven with all the attention and ice cream.  Those are the two things that girls in our family can't get enough of.
Things really did look good.

Bonnie guarded the ice cream machines to make sure that no one made a huge mess (namely Marissa).

It was a pretty good place to relax and party.
Krissy and Rachael did a lot of hard work and finally had a chance to sit and relax.

At some point the kids tipped over the bounce house.  Ryker wasn't happy, even though he came up with the idea.

Jens had no problem finding people to feed her pie, ice cream and other delicious items.

Chayo came out with her boys who ate a lot of ice cream, but not as much as you'd think.

The kids played so hard in the bounce house that they got sweaty, even a lady like Kate.

The kids all crashed pretty hard at the end of the night.

Flying To Apple Blossom

We didn't really fly to Apple Blossom, but flying was the theme.  DeA did run to the festival with Rock in order to make the start of the Pig Jig run.  Ryker, Jens and I came later in Bubbles and waited at the finish line to cheer on Rock and Mommy.
Jens found the ice cubes in the water coolers and started sucking those down.

I missed DeA and Rock as they approached, but here they are sprinting across the line.
Rock did a great job of finishing, thanks to being pushed in the stroller for 4.9 of the 5Ks.
Rock was completely official with a number and tag.
DeA ran hard, probably because of the extra Rock weight that she was pushing.
Ryker helped himself to the runners' water.  It was delicious.
After the run we went to the pancake breakfast where Rock refused to eat with us.  I don't know who he ended sitting with, but they weren't us.
Geri was there to help the boys cut up their pancakes and cover them in syrup.
I don't know who that nice girl is, but I don't think she was thrilled to have two boys sitting at her table.
The parade was a little after breakfast, so Rock did some karate moves with Atticus.
Jens did what she does best by crashing and snoozing.
Grandpa and Grandma Christensen were up from Orem just to see the England Chiropractic float and for no other reason.
With our boys being so pasty white we made sure to cover them with sunscreen.
Lindsea made sure to have a spot staked out with Hudson.
I wrangled the boys down to the staging area where they played in Papa Dale's float.
Poly wanted to be in the parade, too.  He also wanted it to be 40 degrees outside instead of the 90 that it really was.
It is always fun to show the kids off and eat all the candy.
I don't know where Rock's shirt went, but did I mention that we have pasty white kids?

They did a great job throwing candy and only eating a little bit at a time.
Jens wasn't in the truck with the candy, so she enjoyed a yummy banana with her aunts.
She liked the parade, especially the horses and motorcycles.
Our little Energizer Bunny rarely takes naps, but he was so tired that crashed and crashed hard.
It was a pretty awesome Apple Blossom Saturday.  Soon I'll post pictures from the Apple Blossom reception later in the afternoon.
