Mama Zista and Papa Dave!!

Ryker was so excited for the Judds' visit that he almost forgot how to get yogurt into his mouth.  He did remember how to throw the bowl on the ground and get yogurt everywhere, but not his mouth.
Before Dave could even get inside the house he tried out the unicycle that's been parked outside the garage.
Derek tried the unicycle, too, but decided to try it on the grass.  His tail bone thanks him.
The boys were super excited to get a tent and tunnel set!  They made everybody take turns getting inside the tent.
Lil' Ryker tried to see if Rock could smell what was in his diaper from the other end of the tunnel.
"Rock, get over here and smell this!"
We went to eat out Friday night, and little Ryker was hungry.  He started by gnawing on the straw while waiting for the food.
He loved licking the meat off of my BBQ ribs.
He kept reaching for more of my food, and would dip the bones into ketchup for more deliciousness.

He also tried dipping the ribs in tangy BBQ sauce, but wasn't a fan.
The boys have absolutely loved playing with their grandparents, and Rock has been in heaven.
One thing that these boys love is attention, and lots of it.
Ryker's hair was getting past the hippy stage and into the hobo stage, so Mama Zista gave him a trim.  He wasn't a fan of having his golden locks sheered.
"I'll get you for this, Dad.  I'll make you pay with a diaper so stinky, so juicy...You will pay!"
Look at that handsome little executive!
Rock saw all the attention that Ryker was getting so he got trimmed up, also.  Then he climbed in the bathtub continued to look adorable.

Look at how cute he looks with his haircut.

Kidz Bounce!!

While I was pulling the Kidz Bounce pictures off of my phone I found these two pictures from Albertson's.  This first picture is showing that a 2lb brick of delicious Tillamook Cheddar Cheese is $5.99.
That seemed like a decent deal, and so I imagined that the Albertson's generic, dry, crumbly brand would be a significant value.  But, guess what's not only a dollar more expensive, but also has the gall to boast "national brand quality for less" on the higher price?  Can the generic cheddar not see six inches to its right?
Anyways, on to the Kidz Bounce party.  DeA heard about this awesome bounce place through the Sociedad de Cotorro and yesterday we tried it out.  It was AWESOME!  The kids were a blur the whole time, and so the best pic I have is this one:
Rock loved working through the obstacle course, and even mastered the tall climbing wall.

Both boys loved going down the giant inflatable slides, and giggled the whole way down.

Afterwards we took them to a pizza joint and let them eradicate the aliens from Area 51.  They are surprisingly sharp shooters for such little hands.

Flyboys

Rock and Ryker are loving their aircraft.  They are even diligent at doing their pre-flight routine of balancing on diaper packages.
With the flight prep out of the way they ran to their flying things and prepared for take off.
Lately they've been cross-training, that way they are prepared for anything.

Ryker was more than willing to smile at the camera while flying.
Being a high-flying pilot isn't what defines Rock, he's also a good big brother.  That means that he practices to care for his potential future little sister by taking care of a random Cabbage Patch doll.  On a related note, this is what happens to your sons when you are away at work all day.  It's not good.

Spring Practice!!

Here's a little something to get everyone excited about BYU's spring practice that started today. I exhort you all to watch the whole video, and enjoy it.

Quick Trip to Manson

We set up a quick trip over to Manson this weekend.  The boys helped DeA pack the best way that they knew how.
Look at that little sleeping baby, so tigger-ific.

When we got to Manson Mama Rae and Papa Dale had Ryker's birthday presents waiting for him.  He got an airplane rocking horse, and Rock volunteered to take the first test flight.  Any good test flight requires a good helmet.
Ryker has now become a ryger, half Ryker and half tiger.  It's even more powerful than a liger.  The ryger was pretty excited to see all his swag.
Rock was a good big brother and showed Ryker how to open all his presents.  He also wanted to show him how to play with the presents and hide them.
Finally Air Ryger was cleared for take off, and Ryger showed everyone that the thing to fear the most isn't fear itself, but a flying Ryger!

Mama Rae had a giant stone removed from her gall bladder.  How big was it?  It was the size of Ryger's head!!
Rock somehow managed to steal Ryger's float plane and claim it as his own.  Ryger didn't seem to mind, and it was adorable hearing Rock tell people that the pilot was wearing 'toggles'.
Ryger was very happy with all the loot and the attention.

Rock has been going through this phase where he wants to tape up everything.  He made an elaborate booby trap in the living room after Mama Rae went to bed.  His plan was to have her make a lot of noise in the middle of the night from the tape, that would wake him up and remind him to go climb in bed with his grandparents.  It worked pretty well.
Our boys love bath time, and Papa Dale let them have an impromptu washing after he saw Ryger trying to climb into the tub.

Rock has discovered that his ears sound cool when he puts them under the water.  He'll lay there on his back just listening.
Rock didn't sleep the whole three hours from Manson, but couldn't make it the ten minutes home from church.  We let him sleep a little before letting Ryger walk him up.  That just might be Ryger's favorite chore around the house.

Tiger Attack!!

So, once upon a time we lived in Iowa.  We had some good friends that watched Rock for us, and trained him on how to be a tiger.  When we all moved from Iowa a box of the Young's stuff ended up in our truck.  One of the things that was in that box was an adorable tiger training suit that just happened to fit Ryker perfectly.
"Oh my goodness, I'm adorable!"
Even Rock could see how adorable his little brother was.

Ryker still only has one tooth, but he makes the most of it by showing that one tooth off every chance he gets.
And he has the coy look down.
Rock has been doing a good job putting himself to bed at night.  He'll whine and fuss for a while, but eventually he just falls asleep alone.  Some nights are harder than others, like last night.
DeA took Rock on a little alone time to get ice cream and go to Target.  While they were gone I held a sleeping Ryker on my chest, watched 30 Rock on Netflix and played Sony.  As we were getting Rock's jammies on Ryker snuck out of the bedroom and made a beeline for the couch.  Maybe he wasn't as asleep as I thought he was, because he knew what he wanted to do.

Another one of Ryker's tricks is to fold his arms to say that prayer.  Except this trick usually doesn't happen when there is a camera around, because he pretends not to hear us.

But then every once in a while he surprises us by showing off.
