COUSINS!

MadBum, D-Rell, and Brandoni showed up to play for a week.

They loved playing out on the deck with play dough that will now always be rubbed into the table.
Whit and Stewie took off for a few nights, so Mom and Dad and DeA took care of the snot-nosed little ones.
Rock guilted Hampa into getting him a dirt bike from a friend. He's been tearing up the orchard with that little 50.
Sunday walks remain beautiful.

We came home to see Brandoni trying to escape.
Rock felt that this way was good enough to get a Latino family to church and had a hard time understanding why it wouldn't work to take his cousins to their fort.

The kids had so much fun hanging out with their cousins that they forgot about school the next day. That didn't make them happy.
Blossoms in the sunshine with Funshine.
The California cousins seem to be a bad influence on Ryker.
Things are always pretty when DeA is around.
It was a big adjustment to have a crawler round the house again. He likes to sneak up under your feet, kind of like Leo.

Baller.
Blue ice cream!
We had a little family ice cream night with Sara, Mary and Dan who were in town for Apple Blossom.
Jefe just had to try out the lil' hog.
DeA took her turn. It worked out about as well as you would expect. "Clear the area!"
At least she was smiling.

Apple Blossom was a lot of fun, especially with the kids. DeA and Rock ran the Pig Jig (DeA ran it twice just to prove a point).
Jens found some princesses.
DeA was a little worn out after her six miles of running.
The kids were excited to be in the parade throwing candy.

The little kids had a hard time keeping up with the older cousins.
MadBum sat and stared like this for a long time. I think she was exhausted.

Hampa's Birthday and Little League

Jens got an Easy Bake Oven for her birthday, and used it to bake Grandpa a birthday cake.
They were pretty excited to show him their masterpiece.
All those candles require a strategy to get them lit at the same time.

 Grandpa was pretty excited.
It's still all baseball, all the time.
The school didn't think that the concerts made things sufficiently busy, so they added a cultural night. It was pretty fun, with some cool themed rooms.

Ryker hung out at the office. It was tough, he ate a cheeseburger and went through our Safeway Monopoly pieces.

The first games of the year were a big deal. Jens was dressed and ready to go about three hours early.
Rock made sure he looked good. That's his first and more important thing.
On the other hand, Ryker was barely ready in time and won't bother to tuck in his shirt.
He still looked good when game time rolled around.
DeA has been working on their home run celebrations.
They are ready to go, they just need to start hitting dingers.

Birthday Funzee!

Jens has to watch her brothers enjoy their birthdays, and then wait a month until hers. When it finally arrives, she soaks it all in. Including the delicious attention and sugary pancakes.
Her favorite present was a new bike!
Her unicorn robe was a close second.

Wapato opened for fishing the next morning, and Dave Thompson let us come out and fish off of his dock. Ryker is either 9 or 79, I'm not sure.
Rock prefers a little more action.
The kids had quite a bit of success, and each kid caught a rainbow!

Ryker caught a beautiful 12 incher.
No one would help me clean them, but Jens did volunteer to take a picture.
