Spring Transitioning into Summer

Ryker had his spring concert, can you pick him out of his diverse class?
The day finally arrived when I get to watch someone mow the lawn instead of me doing it.
Mom and Dad had Sunday lunch at the knoll. It was a perfect day for the party.

Ryker definitely had a lot of fun. At least, I think that's a happy face.
The kids used the room to roam and explore.
Mom was pleased to take tours through the house and explain where all the cool stuff will be.
Jens spent her time collecting beautiful flowers.
Does DeAndra still read the blog? Let's find out based on her reaction to this:
Dad needed a .22 sighted, so Rock volunteered to help me.
Have I ever mentioned how pretty the view is up there?

Spring Cleaning

The YW did a service project at Claudia Sanchez's house, Jens and I tagged along to help. Jens looked very dramatic.
She found their giant dog and spent a lot of time trying to teach it to shake.
I went to Target a little while ago and thanks to their conveniently placed sign I avoided a messy mistake.
We went to a Wenatchee Wild playoff game. The kids get really amped up for Wild games.

DeA broke her tradition of pretending to want to come but not coming, I think she had fun. The wild won an exciting game to advance in the playoffs!
The weather has been definitely been spring-like, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the knoll.

Ryker received his first pocket knife and used it to sharpen his marshmallow stick.
It's always fun when the kids act like they are friends, even if it's by accident while they are sleeping.
We still have the bunnies, and occasionally the kids enjoy cuddles with them. I don't know if the bunnies like the cuddles, but the kids do.

Karate is still going great, so great in fact that they are now yellow belts!
There was more work to be done at Claudia's, so we took all the youth. They started a large bonfire and enjoyed throwing more junk on the fire.
Dad prepared some burgers for the kids and Nate tended the smaller fire.
Thankfully the kids waited until most of the work was done before becoming obsessed with the fire.
 Bandbooster Burgers!
That's a pretty good crew of helpers!

Windows Update

Grandma and Grandpa's house is coming together nicely. It feels less like a shell and more like a house.
Grandma loves sitting up by her big windows and enjoying her peaceful view.

The kids loved hanging out, which I guess is a preview of things to come.

 What a pretty view!
All that hanging out made people sleepy.

A Happy, Milagrosa Day at the Temple

Happy and Milagros Cesar took their family to the temple for the first time. Jeffrey thought it was a good time to launch his wedding photography business.
It was a great day with a wonderful family.

We loved being involved in their special day.
I tried to give my best Mexican Wedding Face.

Jeffrey forgot to make the correct face.

Belt Test, Playoff Hockey, Easter Weekend

DeA and the kids are still who they are, that means they sleep in the living room.
Maybe Ryker is going to pick a better place to sleep so that his sister doesn't land on him in the middle of the night.
He seemed to survive it just fine.
DeA and Ryker had a belt test Friday night. It was intense to be in the dojo and to watch them do their teriyaki shogun.

I accidentally mentioned going to a Wenatchee Wild playoff game, and the kids took that as a verbal contract. After the belt test we busted it down to Wenatchee to watch the game. I guess Ryker was excited.
 I know Jens was lit.
The Wild won a physical game, the kids were stoked.
The exciting night took its toll on the lil' ones.
The next day was General Conference. It's always interesting to see how much Rock learns from observing his mother.

We almost skated the Easter season without dying eggs, but the kids remembered late Saturday afternoon. Nothing is as fun as dying the kitchen floor.
They had fun, so I guess it was worth it.

Ryker asked for, and was granted, permission to stay the night at Gpa and Gma's house. He dressed like he was going to play a doubleheader.
Conference Sunday is donut day. Rock worked hard cutting them out. I don't know what Ryker is doing.
I made a batch the night before that turned out pretty well.
We did a second batch Sunday with my "helpers".
That batch turned out...different. Like a fried sugar cookie. They weren't as popular as our typical donuts.
The helpers were happy, and the donuts still tasted great, that means it was a good conference weekend.
