A Little More Oregon Fun

The pictures became jumbled and I missed some on the last post. Here is Jens sleeping to apologize.
If that wasn't enough here is Ryker passed out from fun.
After the stress of the reception was over Mama Zista and Papa Dave took us on a jet boat ride up the Rogue River. The boys were pretty excited.
Jens was excited but also nervous.

They drove us up the river to a restaurant, but Jens was happy to cuddle with Papa Dave.

DeAndra spent a long time getting her hair just perfect and it showed.

Ryker loved drinking orange juice out of the fancy glass.
After a calm ride up to the restaurant they had fun coming back down. DeA's hair is still perfect, a different perfect than before. Also, Jens hair was crazy.
We loved the boat ride, Rock and Ryker called it the best day ever.
Mama Zista prepared the kids for the ride home with six pounds of gummy bears.
The kids slept for about two or three hours each on the way to Biggs Junction. When we arrived at the hotel Rock was absolutely wired. He didn't fall asleep until after midnight when he was forced to turn off Big Hero 6. Then our sweet boy tried to get himself murdered by opening the blackout curtains at 6:45am because he was awake and ready to go. He is something else but we are glad to have him.

Oregon Trip

We did our Oregon trip a little early this year because of Lindsey's reception.  We drove after work on Wednesday and stopped in Goldendale. Since the kids were troopers we let them suck down milkshakes.
The kids had a blast with Mama Zista and Papa Dave. They even slept in the tree house!
Jens enjoyed the slower, more relaxed mornings.
They had some fun game nights before bed.
Papa Dave loved the cuddles and learning about Skipper's dance recital.
Ryker thrilled to see the vast selection of unhealthy cereals.
Jens was the same beautiful princess down there that she is here.

The same diva as well.

They enjoyed their annual trip to Science Works in Ashland.
The men helped with the reception by getting out of the way. Rock came with me one day and chauffeured me around the course.
That night he made sure our clubs were both lined up just right.

Things calmed down after the reception and that gave Papa Dave time to give them lessons.

The lessons moved to the course where things became more real.

After Jens showed that she is a threat off the course as well as on.
She is pretty sassy.

With all the excitement and activity the kids were constantly worn out.

The kids spent almost every day in the pool. Rock may or may not have grown gills.
It may have been hard to get them to calm down at night, but as soon as they sat still for a minute they were toast.

Grandpa was very thoughtful and ordered them a pile of dirt. They spent lots of quality time throwing dirt clods at each other.

Summer of Crazy Kids

These kids are constantly moving, running, jumping, yelling, etc. It seems the only way to get Rock to stay still for any amount of time is to have DeAndra massage him.
We recently had a nice cat show up and beg for food. After a day or two it let us pet it and we realized it was pregnant. Eventually we learned that it belonged to our neighbors but Ryker was promised a kitten from the litter.
He loved cuddling with that cat.
Jens likes to steal mints from office and then pretend that we can't see it.
Ryker really loves cuddling with anything.
The weather has been freaking hot so the kids end up at the lake or pool most days.
Ryker still uses muscled but that's only to keep his face above water. He probably loves cats because he shares many feline characterists, including the hatred of getting wet.
 Rock's not quite that way.

Jens loves swimming thanks to her seal float.
He doesn't like getting wet but has no problem getting others wet.
Jens went on her first helicopter ride without the doors, she was apprehensive.
Of course she loved it, like a puppy riding in the bed of a pickup.

Ryker also enjoyed it but you can't tell as easily with him.
The 4th of July was as great as ever. We showed up an hour before dark and let the kids run their wiggles out.

It was a perfect summer night.
The girls are enjoying their summer cuddles.
Ryker loves cuddles and having his belly rubbed.
The boys are spending lots of time watching cartoons and chillin' in their swimming trunks.
