Summer Continues Strong

The kids sure caught World Cup fever, especially when they realized that the good guys in the championship match wore the right jerseys.
The kids and DeA have spent most of their time down at the lake or in Doug's pool. That means they cuddle up when they get back into the car.
Mama Rae commissioned Brian to install wood floors in the new sewing room. Rock dcided that he couldn't let a change to swing a hammer pass him by, so he helped.
He did a good job of standing on the edges to help guide them snap into place. He also got to retrieve boards and other tools.
"No, the doohickey, not the thingamajig"

Jens wanted to help, but kept trying to eat the spacers that looked like candy.
Put a beard on him and he becomes Al Borland.
He asked me for a haircut and then specified the kind of style that he wanted. Him mom wasn't thrilled.
We celebrated three years of England Chiropractic being in business with our traditional open house. That meant a giant Cars jump house for the kids.
Between the jumping and the 90+ degree weather the monsters seemed to sleep pretty well that night.
Most importantly I think they had a blast.

We had band-booster hamburgers, cupcakes and Dad brought the ice cream machine. That helped fuel their jumping.
Ryker had so much fun that he couldn't help but get down.
Dad took a break from doing everything to make a few important helicopter calls.
Jens is trying to really hang with her brothers by learning how to game like a pro.

Summer Stuff

Jens loves food and wants to make sure that other people enjoy it, too. That means Mama Rae is going to eat the chip no matter what
"See, Mama Rae? Wasn't that delicious?"
She's such a dainty little girl.
 So very, very dainty.
  Ryker still won't smile normally.
Even when he's ballin' at the park on his bike.
It was about 100 outside, the boys were riding their bikes all over and then Rock decided that he might need some water.
Jens loved the seemingly endless supply of Cheetos.
The kids all had some money from Papa Dale for toys when we went to Wenatchee. Jens' knows her priorities.
Once in a while Rock will ask to borrow my phone and when I get it back I find shots like this:
DeA were able to run a Ragnar Relay thanks to Ma and Pa England watching the munchkins. We started up by the Canuck border and ended up at the bottom of Whidbey Island. She used her freaking long, beautiful legs to flutter through her three legs without barely breaking a sweat.
Seriously, this is what she looked like after an eight mile leg.
After the race we stayed in Oak Harbor instead of driving home exhausted. It was a fun date night, again thanks to Ma and Pa watching the kids.
We made it home just in time for Maddy's wedding reception and Celeste's christening celebration. Maddy is Chayo's little sister and Celeste is Ruido and Irma's (another sister) baby girl.
Ruido has a big garden with delicious carrots that Rock went all Bugs Bunny on.
Jens went with the corn cob method.
 She likes her carrots.
Ryker probably ate the most carrots and sang the most songs into his carrot mic.
"Carrots for you, carrots for me. I like eating carrots under a great big tree"
This is pretty much the typical picture I have of Rock this summer.
 Lookin' good!
Jens had been mad after being excluded on a helicopter ride that her brothers went on. Papa Dale made up for it by giving her a ride after the reception.
She loves the helicopter and knows that she wants the headset. It makes her look official.

Summer of Munchkins: A post that I thought was published a month ago but wasn't so it's being published now

Rock has spent most of July with his summer mask of dirt, sweat and food.
Jens continues desperately to keep up with her brothers and is now an expert Lego builder.
Nick came over for the 4th of July and enjoyed the typical Kiwanis BBQ and crappy Mariners offense.
The kids liked eating the chicken off the boys like Vikings and the beans with their hands like pigs.
We enjoyed the fireworks down at Killian's property and enjoyed watching Alice chase off trespassers.
Jens wasn't sure what was happening but she knew it was going to be awesome.
Someone brought down glowsticks and the kids had a G rated rave.
Ryker loved cuddling, wrestling and yelling 'tootie' as loud as he could.
Jens found food and knew that this party was officially off the hook!
We enjoyed the long weekend by going on a few walks and enjoying the nice weather.
Ryker still refuses to stand or smile like a normal kid when he sees a camera.

If you use your imagination you can figure out the unfortunate ending to this activity.
The see-saw is always popular.

Ryker is a fun little cuddlebug.
It isn't summer until you've OD'd on S'mores.

Ryker continued to roast marshmallows even though he admitted that he was done with eating them.
Don't let the dress fool you, she likes to get dirty and messy.
Kassidy is pretty popular.

It didn't take long for Jens to figure out what to do when she visits my office.
She trains fast and was scheduling patients in no time.
