So Much Going On

Luca enjoys eating and watching Ryker play football
We made milanesas with some steaks that Dad had thawing. They turned out almost legit
Rock got a mullet to honor his Mom's family's heritage.
DeA and I went apple picking.
It's nice that when we need one apple that we can just walk outside.
Leo Boy is ready for Christmas
Luca likes getting into stuff, even when it makes him wet.
He offered to coach Jens' practice for me, he did a better job than I do.
Jens is still enjoying soccer. She is really figuring out goalie.
Jens, Rock, and DeA have been battling a bug that causes congestion. Jens woke up one morning with a terrible nose bleed and spent the rest of the morning with part of a tampon hanging out of her nose.
A curly mullet, classic.
We had a piece of siding fly off the house, I finally picked up a replacement piece and Jens helped me paint it.

Ryker has been running pass routes over at Nama and Hampa's house.
We attended a birthday party for Maddy's one-year-old. Case pulled up with a case of Modelo and Chechei shared his unspoken opinion about that.
Taking Rock to seminary and trying to write the primary program is wearing DeA out.
Ryker found a Foreman Grill at Big Lots and tried explaining it to me like a Foreman didn't get me through college.

Thursday Night Lights

Ryker didn't get to play in his first game, but he played a lot in the second and well. It being a perfect night for football was a bonus.
He's 82, the right wing back getting ready to block.
Jensley had her first two soccer games and did really well. She is getting more aggressive every time she's on the field pitch

We had a post game lunch at Stormy
Then she zoned out in the car. I think she was a little tired.
Speaking of tired, conference Saturday is DeA's nap day, along with conference Sunday.

Leo wasn't sure what was going on with everyone being home and lazy.
Conference Sunday is donut day. DeA tried desperately to negotiate something else, something cleaner or healthier, but Ryker declared that's it tradition...and then barely helped.
He did help cut out a few donuts and he mixes up a chocolate frosting.
Leo helped supervise Hampa's fire and use of alcohol as lighter fluid.

Fall Excitement

Rock has started Seminary, it is wearing DeA out.
Leo gets lonely when the kids are back in school, and he gets very needy. When I get home on my short days he acts like he has been abandoned.
I've been crazy a good milanesa, so I followed the less-than-helpful recipe from my mission: a piece of meat, some flour, some mixed up eggs, and some seasoned breadcrumbs. Seasoned with what? Stuff. Fry until done. At what temp? The temp that makes the oil hot. Thanks, Hma Almaraz.
It wasn't Hna Almaraz good, but it was decent.
We went to La Brisa after cleaning the church and I got Max a flan after. He ate it before he could find a fork. So domesticated.
Leo spent all day chasing a squirrel, and after he caught it he expected congratulatory belly rubs.
Did you know that Doritos are flammable?
Especially after you sprinkle some rubbing alcohol on them.
Ryker had to make pants for English class. He made a nice pair, but they were tight on lil' Max so he had to be his model.
Ryker had his first MS football game, but the younger guys his age/size didn't get in. He wasn't bothered and enjoyed nachos on the way home with me.
He is enjoying the stuff that comes with football, like getting to run the flag after scores.
Rock is now tin grin, brace face, metal mouth, chrome grin.
We had Leo and Rissa's parties at our house. Leo was overwhelmed and pretended to sleep.
Mini Spiderman cake!

Ninja costume!
I ordered some compression boots to help with my recovery. They have been very popular at our house.
