Summer of Leo(s)

The Leos have a complicated friendship. Neither one likes to have the other one all up in their business, but they both like to occasionally get up in the other's business.

Quite the reverent crew at church.
DeA loves the evening walks. They went from one lap in the orchard, then she was able to stretch it into two laps, and now she has been working me to make it three.

The kids are having a real rough summer with a lot of couch riding and Minecraft playing.
More walk pics

Jens helped me make a cake for family lunch, it was a delicious white cake with orange Jell-o. She did a great job and did most of it herself.
Leo isn't the only one that has a complicated relationship with Leo, DeA loves and hates the dirty white dog. He rolled in some stinky stuff on our walk and she was trying to get him to roll in the clean grass to get some of it off of him.

Rissa Turd and Javi rolled into town from Houston, this was the sharp crew that helped them unload the truck.
Like mother, like son.

A Visit From the Youngs

The last time we saw the Youngs was like eight years ago while they lived in South Carolina. It was fun to have them come visit, and of course the first thing that the kids did was fire up the ice cream machine and cotton candy maker.

Cotton Candy after a long car ride is always a good idea.
The kids were a little nervous to see how they got along with kids that they didn't remember meeting, but thankfully they all spoke Minecraft and things went great.

Aaron was only here for three days, but we were able to sneak up to Stehekin before he left.
We hit all the typical spots, starting with the Bakery

The Old School

Rainbow Falls
Rock tried teaching the Youngs how to drink the water, but they weren't that excited to drink wild water.

We had lunch at the Ranch and then made it up to High Bridge before the kids all announced that they were hot, tired, and ready to go home.

Selfie!
It was a pretty quiet ride home, some kids took turns driving but otherwise they were pretty wasted

Leo was excited to see us when we got home, he spent the day laying in front of Mom and Dad's door and hoping that Leo Baby or Max would bring him treats.
We had some excitement when Jens noticed black smoke on the dry hillside. Thankfully it was successfully fought by the firemen.
The kids relaxed with ice cream and the trampoline.

More Cousins

Lindsea's crew is still here, and now MAXAMILIANO!! and Leo Baby have joined in the fun. Literally, they are having fun in the blowup water slide.
The Leos have a special bond. They even have their own meeting call.

And a secret hideout.

The most reverent bunch in church...
The chapel has been warm, so I can't blame Leo Baby for laying on the vent, just like Leo Puppy does at home.
Dad and I took the helicopter out to look for a lost person (they turned up and are fine). He gave the kids a ride to the hangar, but Leo was a little ticked that he didn't get to go too.

Snake hunting!!
Leo looks confused. Ryker was studying for his food handler's permit and Leo had never seen him study so much.
If I had a dollar for every time during his course Ryker muttered "that's not what Grandpa does"...
Bagging cotton candy for his candy stand!

Leo Baby likes to escape from Mom and Dad's and show up at our window, just like Leo Puppy does.
He's glad that he gets to sit on the couch, unlike Leo Puppy.
