One busy week

This time of year is always crazy. Three kids playing three different sports along with all the end of school stuff makes for a full calendar. At least Cafe Myth made legit empenadas, so legit that Rock felt that he had to wear the jersey of the World Cup champs to really enjoy them.
We had a Fathers and sons campout. The boys were supposed to put up the tent but had to borrow Carter's tallness to help after they ignored the directions.
Rock enjoyed doing some simple whittling.
Leo Boy was all about roasting marshmallows.
Dueling whittlers.
It was a fun evening, it was basically family lunch without the women and girls.
It was a rough night with someone yelling in their sleep, that woke up Ryker. He freaked out that Rock was eaten by a bear and then he peed right outside the tent door before laying back down. Then he woke me up at 4:30 am to ask if he could go fishing. Then the little kids started chopping wood at 5:30 am...so basically I got up pretty early.
Leo loved making Jefe play hide-and-seek almost as much as he liked roasting marshmallows.
Nick and his crew came over for the alumni game. It was fun to see the girls cheering on their daddy.
The game was a ton of fun, Ryker even got an at bat.
Rock had a few at bats and ripped a solid single up the middle.
It was a great game and it was fun to play with Nick and my boys.
Luca needed treats at church the next day, luckily I still had some camping food in the cab.
It was starting to look like Ryker's team wasn't going to have any games, but Chelan agreed to play us a couple of times.
He ripped some solid line drives
And he threw a solid inning.

Apple Blossom!!

Apple Blossom always begins with the Pancake Breakfast (actually, it always begins with DeA stressing to get down to the fun run, but I don't have pics of that) and this year Nama joined us.
They did not put blueberries in the sourdough pancakes, so it was already a better year than last.
Ryker and DeA both ran the fun run. I following on the golf scooter to make sure that they were doing well.
Ryker enjoyed the encouragement
DeA did not and told me to "get away" and "leave me alone" and "I hope you crash".
Ryker was hungry after his run, so we got back in line for the pancakes. We got to see Nama and Hampa in the kitchen.

Ryker scarfed down a few pancakes, eggs and bacon.
There is always a little gap between the pancakes and the parade. It was fun to walk around and see friends and to have the Chelan band director yell at me for giving his kids candy.
Ryker had quite the day, he did the 5K, then he walked with us in the parade and then marched with the middle school band.
The kids aren't quite as cute anymore, so we have to borrow some.
The scooter was a big hit getting around before and after the parade
Ryker's face was looking a little red by the end.
Jens and her friends played in the 3-on-3 tourney. It was 85 degrees on asphalt and they played four 20-minute games. They were pretty done by the time they were done.
That's pretty much how we all felt.
Eye of the tiger
To top it all off, we had an alumni community softball game in the late afternoon. Some people were worn out and crying by that point, but at least I got to show off my softball skillz.
We were still pretty worn out the next day, Jens didn't even make it home from family lunch

Softball, Fishing and Boats

Jens had a baseball doubleheader against the Chelan teams. It was quite a bit of fun.
I wish I could convince Jens to swing hard against the girls as she does against her brodders.
They played really well, and she celebrated with a popsicle dipped in Gatorade.
The boys are on a huge fishing kick. Ryker might be spending too much time going down with Gpa and Dave Thompson, he's starting to sound like a grumpy old man.
"If Rock would pay attention to what he was doing I would be fishing right now instead of grabbing his kayak"
Javi got into to the fun by buying a boat. It smokes so much that we are naming it after a Cuban cigar
Leo is not 100% sure that it's waterproof.
Rock was doing some tee work and Luca wanted in on the fun.
It was a hot, muggy day at the first practice after the girls' doubleheader, so practice involved ice cream.
The boys were jealous, but their coaches aren't as cool as the girls' coach is.
Hampa and Ryker whipped up a bunch of waffle cones, it made the house smell like Whitey's.
The fishing fever even affected the deacon's quorum activity.
Ryker is having fun with his baseball team, at least I think he is.
Rissa and Leo get pretty tired after Leo's practices.
This is Javi "working" on his boat.
I broke out the scooter just in case I ever have time to go golfing this season.
Luca kept getting in the way of the boys BP, so Nama took matters into her own hands
That boy loves four-wheelers.
