Jensley Ball and Ryker Birthday

Jensley finished her season with games in Bridgeport and Lake Roosevelt. Woof. She played well and finished strong.
Speaking of strong, DeA is over her illness and back in the gym doing her thing.
Getting to Javi Gym is an adventure, and adventure that her new van is not allowed to attempt anymore.
We picked up Max and Leo from school the other day, we kind of forgot they were at the house until the ipad battery died.
Birthday Boy Ryker requested coffee cake. He liked it and ate half before his party.

Rock was jealous of Ryker's attention and decided to bomb his ankle at Mission Ridge.
Thankfully no break.
DeA attempted to make a dark chocolate torte for her birthday but the chocolate wasn't bitter enough. Unfortunately it didn't taste angry enough for her.
I made the mistake of believing that she wanted to make her own dinner on her birthday. What a rookie mistake.
Ryker has been pestering, nagging, bothering, and pressuring a 3D printer company for months for a freebie. They finally came through, but assembly took him over three hours. When he plugged it in, nothing happened. After another hour of youtube and google, he figured it out and was elated.
The FLSun drama has been a family thing, so we were there to celebrate with him.
He was pretty pretty happy.
We were all there, DeA, Jens, Tiny Tim, and me.
Happy Gyker.
I took a few days off work because DeA and I were going to leave for her birthday. Because of her illness, we stayed here. At least we had Ronnie to motivate our workouts.

Birthday Rock

Rock is 17. That's almost an adult. That is crazy talk.
He wasn't even home for his birthday, so Ryker requested milanesas for dinner.
I spent the day refinishing Jens' dresser, it was a relaxing and fun project with Horchata as my garage buddy.
Rock spent Sunday at home and we had wacky cake.
Jared went up to Antilon and cleared an area and flooded it for an ice rink. The boys went up and played 1v1 hockey. Rock tried to chip the puck over Ryker's stick and hit him in the chompers.
It knocked a tooth loose and gave him a swollen lip. After all these years of hockey I can't believe that this is the first mouth injury that we have had.
Jens made this cute bunny puzzle in shop.
DeA isn't feeling well and is having a hard time keeping up with the teenagers.
Rock and Ryker played Winthrop again, Rock has become pretty good friends with a group of those kids.
We had a fun temple trip with the kids. I got to help a new convert from Brewster that only spoke Spanish find his way around, that was a treat.
Ryker received a new 3D printer from FlashForge. It is pretty cool and easy to set up, he was pretty happy.
Marissa needed help getting the kids to school. When I got there, Ethan and Tanner were in charge and Luca was in the bedroom crying because he couldn't have fish nuggets for breakfast. I got him toast with sprinkles instead.
Max and Leo Boy were both pretty unhappy with their ride to school.
DeA finished her first class at BYU-I pathways, she had to show me her presentation while feeling super duper sick. She got an A, I'm not surprised.

Moses Hole Hockey Tourney

The last hockey tournament of the season was in Moses Hole. The game Friday night was so late that DeA and I had time to go to the temple between work and puck drop.
The rink is outdoor but covered. It was cold and windy and smelled like cows. The boys got to play on the same shift quite a few times.
Friday night postgame party involved Nachos Bell Grande and a five-layered burrito, just like old days.
We had an early game the next morning, Rock thinks it was a conspiracy to keep the Wenatchee peeps in their contracted hotels. It was even colder and windier and the sun was glaring on the ice.
You can smell him from here.
We took the boys to the temple between games and Rock was baptized for Dave Judd. No, not that one, he is still alive.
She has many layers on.
They had to play a Vancouver select team that was pretty good, but the boys played well and held their own.
Rock tried schmoozing the refs between periods, but it didn't work.
We stopped at Chico's pizza. We were told that they loaded up on the toppings, which was true. The only problem is that they didn't load up on the sauce and cheese to the toppings just went everywhere. 6/10 stars, would stop again like on a youth trip.
We saw Horchata running up the driveway as were were driving up the hill. Ryker was pretty proud that she would come back to him and he carried her home.
Two little Tazmanian Devils sitting on their chargers.
DeA claimed that she didn't want to take a nap, but she made herself a cocoon and settled in for what looked like a wonderful nap.
She is trying to nail down her perfect no-bake recipe, she did one batch with evaporated milk and another with real milk to see the difference side-by-side.

Jens B-Ball

Our life isn't all hockey, it's also Jensley ballin' out. She still bounces her head while she runs down the court.

Sitting in the car, sitting on the hard bleachers, and then sitting the car is starting to get to DeA's beautiful seat.
Shoot it!
Baby Sofia must not have been feeling well if she was letting someone beside Nama hold her.
The dogs found a dead squirrel and played with it for a few days. DeA was not a fan.
We have the best scripture studies in this family.
Her first home game was a banger, she played both games and had a bucket in each one.
Beautiful Schnoogies is beautiful.
Rock loves rocking his Hockey Mom sweatshirt while making his classic artisan sourdough sandwich.
