School Is Finally Over

Ryker has this cool scanner and used it to figure out that he needs a haircut.
Jensley continues to enjoy softball.
She has been able to pitch a lot, like more than I would have if I were the coach because the other parents would have been mad.
Nama broke out the Mickey baseball jersey.
Spring weather makes the best views.
Luca is training to go to Wazzu.
Ryker is always looking to make a fashion statement.
He just doesn't want people to see the statement.
Luca did not have a talk, scripture, or prayer but that didn't stop him from sitting up front.
It's the time of year that we go for sunset walks that make DeA look especially pretty.

Rock flew to Stehekin with his instructor, and on the way back I happened to notice two F-18s flying above him. So, technically he can say that he flew with F-18s. DeA asked how I knew that they were F-18s and then stopped listening when I started telling her how.

Stehekin Part 3

Did I mention that the food is the best part of the Ranch?
Nama was scrolling her phone in the parking lot when Ryker thought it would be fun to take the Suburban for a drive. They got about 30ft away before the brake lights flashed and he had to come back.
We listened to church using the parking lot wifi. It was a neat experience.
We all went to Rainbow Falls as a family.
Our kids aren't littles anymore.

We made Nama and Hampa pose for a picture.

Jens and Ryker braved the mist up at the upper lookout and got soaked.
There was no wifi or service here, so I'm not sure what they were reading.
Darn kids on their phones all day...
We had some fun times playing games as a family in the loft.
We played some serious frisbee.
The last breakfast is always the worst, you enjoy it but you know that you have to leave soon.

We beat the bus to the bakery and had our pick of the lemon bars and kookens.

Dad made a small pre-order that he had to pick up on our way to the boat.

Stehekin! Part 2

DeA has a healthy habit of drink fresh lemon juice in water every morning. Thankfully the Ranch had a lemon juicer.
Apparently Agnus Gorge is the only hike we are allowed to do, because of tradition.
We were short one Rock because he was not feeling well and sleeping.

The hike goes a lot faster now than it did when they were little and we had to drag them along.
The siblings seemed to enjoy watching the water together.
Schnoogies discovered that zip-away pants are awesome, but that's something that every dad already knew
Jensley discovered the walking stick and why people use them. She was a big fan.
There was a lot of good porch sitting going on.

Prime rib night with mushroom gravy over rice might be everyone's favorite, even DeA who wants her prime rib well done.
The kids are getting older, so DeA and I aren't needed as much and we get to spend more time together. It's kind of nice.

Stehekin '25 Part 1

The annual Memorial Day trip to Stehekin is one of my favorite weekends of the year. It feels like we are on vacation as soon as we board the ferry
It's so nice to be chillin' on the boat with Schnoogies.
It's a lot more calm that it was when we started doing this trip years ago when the kids were little.

I never get tired of the view uplake.
Rock seemed to enjoy relaxing and napping, which was nice and weird.
Sitting on the porch is pretty fun for everyone, even for 50k steps a day Ryker.

Volleyball Schnoogies
As great as all of Stehekin can be, the entire trip revolves around the food.
DeA really loved all the blossoming dogwoods.
