Stehekin Day 3

Our Stehekin traditions have turned into a hike one day, and a big bike ride the second day. The boys and Jens were loaded up on electric bikes, DeA and I on regular. Jens wasn't confident that she could handle the heavy e-bike, so I took hers and she hopped on the back. It was fun to have 20 miles to hear her thoughts while riding down the road.
We rode to the bakery and rewarded ourselves with delicious stuff.

We went down to the Landing to see what Dad and Rissa's crew were doing, then hustled back for lunch at the Ranch.
All dozen of us, plus Mistaya's two boys, rode down to Rainbow Falls. It was absolutely pumping. That didn't stop the kids from going down and drinking the water.

The falls were really pumping, it was crazy how much water was falling.

The mist on the upper trail was so thick that everyone immediately got soaked.
Mom stayed down by the picnic table and avoided the moisture.

DeA wanted a chance to wear Rock's bucket hat.

We took Jens to see the old school

Most of the rest of the day was spent relaxing and waiting for the next meal.
Oh, and the kids kept chasing the cats.
DeA and I went on an evening walk
It was a wonderfully relaxing day.

Jens wanted to learn how to whittle, so she made her first prison shank
