Random Rock Pics

I was cleaning out our old, old camera before we retired it for good (look for our listing on eBay!!) and we found this little gem. Even as a little 3 week old you can make out his features of awesomeness.
DeAndra was cleaning under the treadmill the other day and Rock waddled over to help. His way of helping was hanging on to DeA's leg and she wasn't very appreciative.
Rock loves bathtime more and more each day. He found his way into the bathroom the other day while I was showering and opened the shower door. He looked inside, threw his plastic barn into the bathtub and then tried to climb in himself. He got his leg up just high enough to get the foot over the railing, but then couldn't lift enough to either get the other leg up or get the first leg down. It didn't end very well. Once he gets into the bath he likes to make cool hairdos with the shampoo.

Broken and Dead Camera Post!!

So while in Solvang our camera decided that we didn't need a view screen to take pictures. The problem is that we take terrible pictures without the LCD screen, so that isn't working. Well, while the Fuji camera was doing that to us, my mom's camera was throwing a hissy fit since it didn't have its charger. It got all mad and wouldn't turn on or take pictures! Well, long story short, Mom bought a new camera that had the same charger as the old one, so she charged the old one and gave it to us as a Christmas present...anybody lost or bored yet?

Well, that was three weeks ago and the battery final died out and we won't get a charger until Thursday (when Rissa and Dad show up!), so for a blog post I pulled pictures off of my cell phone. You might notice a difference in quality, but not in awesomeness!!

Nick England everybody!! Can you believe it, this guy is single!! Mom's never been more proud.

Lonely, lonely Rock

Rock has been home from the precious west coast for three days now. He keeps toddling around corners looking for his grandmas or someone else who wants to pay attention to him. Everytime someone says his name he looks around hoping that it is somebody other than his boring parents.
"Will you pay tons of attention to me?"

While we were in Medford Rock decided that Santa wasn't taking full advantage of his sled, so he kicked out the old guy and took over.

The other day Rock got to enjoy some of my Cheerios, and after a little hesitation he realized that he wasn't going to share any of them with me!

Table Manners

DeAndra decided that it was time to start training Rock to have good manners at the table. She said that chicks dig guys that are good etiquetters, she also said that she must have been the exception. So she sat Rock down at the kitchen table and fed him lasagna. I'd say that the results were mixed, at best.

"Does it still count as having good manners when I look so darn cute like this?"

Rock has had a fun time on his trip. He is starting to toddle around, and all along the rule has been that as soon as he walks he has chores. Well, with Grandma around chores don't seem to be as hard as they should be. I think he likes doing laundry.

Christmas Vacation Rolls On!!!

Rock is really enjoying his Christmas vacation, mostly because he gets so much more attention with Grandma and Grandpa around then he does with just boring ol' Mommy and Daddy. And like a true showman, he has risen to the challenge of entertaining and has performed masterfully. He's very versatile too, he has been able to use any prop that the crowds have given him. Like a dull waterbottle? Now its part of Rock's Adorablerama.

He liked having all but one (we missed Nick) of his aunts and uncles here last night while my siblings stopped on their way home. He showed Marissa this new trick that he is working on to break out on his Grandmas. He is pretty sure that it will blow them away! Be sure to pay attention to his face throughout the video, its part of his trick.

A lifeless broom? Now it's a prop in Rock's circus of adorableness.
Rock is well aware of how important his appearance is to the ladies, so he was trying out some new hairdos with Grandma Lisa. It looks like he found one that he liked.
He calls this face 'Magnum'

Christmas!!!!

Rock had heard all about this awesome thing called Christmas, but he wasn't sure he wanted to buy into the hype. He had been tricked before, like when Dad tried to breastfeed him again. So you can't blame him for being a little skeptical when people promise awesomeness. But boy, he sure loved Christmas!! Just look at his face!
We got to have two Christmases this year, with the England's down in California and the Judds up in Medford. The England Christmas was a little rushed, so as soon as he opened his presents they got put into a bag for the trip to Oregon. But since he is forgetful it'll be like three Christmases when we get home and he sees them all again! One of the coolest gifts he got from Grammy and Grappy was a fire breathing dragon for a pet. He was super stoked! When we get back to Iowa he's going to fly the dragon around town and harrass the villagers. It will be awesome! He also got to enjoy a delicious raspberry filled powdered donut! Sweet, sweet Hostess, why don't you sell these in the midwest?

Rock started waking up at 2:15am to open presents, but Mom wasn't having any of that. So finally he got me out of bed at 6am and together we checked out the loot that Oregon Santa brought. He even started opening some presents, whether they were his or not.
His favorite part of opening presents? Eating the wrapping paper.

Rock is definitely a boy, because from both families he got all sorts of balls, bats, trucks and golf clubs. It's going to take a while for him to use the clubs, since they are taller than he is and he tries to eat the balls.

To help his eye hand cordination he also got a little ball-popper-upper thingie.
