Swimming, Fishing, and Max Leaving

The annual swimming lessons are always fun, but exhausting for both the kids and DeA.

It didn't help the exhaustion that the kids wanted to wake up at 4:30am to go fishing. Rock made a sack lunch for their expedition, and then tried to go to sleep at 7pm. That's about four or five hours earlier than he's used to going to bed, and it worked out exactly how you'd expect.
The fishing and swimming really took its toll on the little ones.
After the afternoon naps, they found more energy to hit Stutzman's beach.

Jens wasn't about to wake up at 4:30am, but she did want to fish. She talked me into taking her down to the lake after work, when the temperature was still over 90. It was hot.
The heat didn't affect her perfect casting technique.
The kids had to say goodbye to Max. Marissa made them do it in a public place to avoid them causing a scene.

Summer is a great time for activities, like biking while trying to convince Hampa to come pick you up and go to Green Dot.
