Massive Make-up Post

Today was the blessed day when we got both the new power cord and the new hard drive for our computer. I know that some of you (mostly grandmas) have been foaming at the mouth waiting for new blog material, so I'm going to get right to it. The biggest news of the week: we don't have carpet in the bathroom anymore. Now potty training Rock won't have the same urgency on the aiming component as before. Don't get me wrong, aiming is still important, just not as urgent now that the carpet is gone.

Now that the originally white, now gray, carpet is gone, Rock is allowed to play in the bathroom a little bit. He seemed to really like the people he met in there, gave them high fives and stuff.

DeAndra is scared to death that Rock will become a Rocksicle this winter, and so she picked him up a fuzzy hat. At first he wasn't so sure about it, but now he is.........warming up to it (get it?).

Rock is becoming quite the little explorer, and yesterday he decided to go spelunking. Just happens that the house is short on caves that are spelunkable.

Why does he like spelunking? Because its dangerous!

Lately Rock has gotten into his head that he would really like to be a banker. He's been putting on the cool banker threads to show his intentions.
But then he heard about FannieMae and FreddieMac. He was heartbroken!
"I'll never get to be a banker if they are all bankrupt! I hate them so much!"
Then he heard about the government bailout, and how it was going to help the banks. His hope-o-meter rose cautiously.
But then it hit him: "Oh no, only a fool would want to work for a bank controlled by the government! You all suck for ruining my dream!!" The end

Rock hates naps. He hates taking them, and he hates letting his dad take one.

Rock is sold on using protein for his workouts, he just isn't sure how it all works.

Our little guy is still aspiring to a be a basketball player, despite the fact that he continues to fall in the 10th percentile for height and 75th for head size. But all the naysayers are only fueling his internal fire to succeed, and motivates him to practice hard on his own hoop. He loves practicing his dunks and smack talk, but the smack is still a work in progress unless he's playing a dog.

There. Are we forgiven now?

  1. Completely forgiven!! What a wonderful treat after a long week and a fifth grade Halloween party! He looks great and moves quite quickly. Will we be able to keep up with him?
