Da Boys

Rock continues to run at full throttle all the time.  That's all fine and good until he hits the wall, because then he hits it especially hard.
DeA has been working hard at running and working out.  She likes to use the treadmill, but she has to block off the boys so that they don't get launched into the wall.  I think it's cool because it makes it seem like she's got a cheering section.
See, here's Rock going full throttle.
Ryker really enjoyed the beautiful weather today.  He kicked his legs up to soak up the wonderful sunshine.

Cousin Jared and his friend came to town and decided that they needed to shake off some of their city slickerness by shooting guns.  We brought this gun with us, and Uncle Doug asked us why.  I said to shoot stuff up, what else would you use a sweet gun for?
Nick likes guns.

Rock likes homemade ice cream, but that's not really a good segue.
Even though Ryky loves the sun, sometimes it does make him a little sweaty.  He still likes to cuddle when he's sweaty, but I don't think it will be long before he learns better.
Rock found a dirt pile in the backyard and has been hard at work making it awesome.
He's pretty protective of the pile and doesn't like other people touching his equipment.  He'll make us sit and watch him, but we aren't allowed to play or have fun at all.
Mama Rae and Papa Dale took the boys down to Willow Point while DeA and I were on our date.  They had a hot dog roast and played in the lake.  The boys love throwing rocks in the lake.
They especially like throwing rocks that they don't have to bend over and get.  That's why they brought Nick.
Their heavy machinery was also important to help them excavate some great throwing rocks.
Uncle Nick really, really likes that gun.

  1. Has been both a great week with Nick and the rest here but on the other hand a couple of friends passed away. This reminds me how lucky we are for each moment we get to share. Ryker got yelled at all day for trying to throw rocks into the pond, but when he worked at filling Lake Chelan with rocks he is encouraged...What is a kid to think?
