Like a good brother Rock explained to Jensley all about Thanksgiving. The Turkey Bowl, the food, the football and the family. She seemed to be a fan.
"You mean to tell me that there is football all weekend? That sounds AWESOME!"
Ryker barely remembers last Thanksgiving, so he soaked in Rock's tales.
When we loaded up for the Turkey Bowl Jensley was super excited. FOOTBALL!!
The game itself was pretty awesome. The weather was great and the competition was pretty good. Look at Nate's face, doesn't that just scream gametime?
As the little cousins grow into the game they start to play a bigger role in the game plan. They also know to stand next to the QB all the time and you will get the ball more often then not.
Notice the similar form and awesome results.
I couldn't find a QB with a wicked stache like Nick.
Rock and his cousins had a blast riding scooters and pooping on the stairs by the road.
Saturday morning Santa flew in on Grandpa Dale's helicopter. For some reason Ryker wasn't really cool with anything. He was a giant, grumpy Ryker.
Meanwhile, Rock was especially happy running around as Superman. Some tourists were there for just a day at the park when they got to meet Superman and watch Santa in a helicopter...and then ride in the helicopter!
Santa flew in right on time and with a smooth landing.
Rock got some quality face-time with the big guy and let him know all about his Christmas wishes.
Ryker was still pretty grumpy and clearly not a fan of St. Nick.
Jens was pretty happy to nuzzle with Santa. She didn't tell him what she wanted, but she thinks she got her point across.
A firetruck showed up to take Santa downtown. Rock got to take advantage of the delay and climbed aboard.
Yeah, Ryker wanted nothing to do with Santa.
We found some applesauce in Bubbles and Ryker suddenly was a different person. Happy Ryker showed up and stuck around for a while.
Going up in Whirly definitely helped his mood. Superman's mood was pretty much the same all day.
Rock wasn't happy when Grandpa had to lay down the lay on some items. Apparently indoor water gun fights are discouraged at Papa Dale's establishment.
After Santa we went to Blueberry Hills for a group breakfast. Rock turned into the iPod app that repeats everything you say. He got a kick out of it while Rissa got a little sick of a repeating Rocko.
It was like he was on meth or something. The kid was wired silly.
And Rissa probably peed herself a little bit. She didn't admit to it, but look at her face and tell me she isn't right now...
Lil' Polar bear Jensley enjoyed everything during the day.
We went up to go shooting at Top Shelf and had a great view of the fresh snow.
DeA came along to shoot some cans, but was disappointed that they weren't exploding targets.
The girls love shooting whatever they can, exploding or not.
We had good target spotters, but they would never share the binoculars.
"Holy crap, Pa! You are so close you are in my brain!"
DeA wasn't going to shoot, but saw a rockchuck running around so she capped his furry tail (no, not real. The rockchucks are sleeping).
Rissa still makes the "pow pow" sound with her mouth.
Whitni makes more of a "pachow" sound with her mouth.
Rock bunkered down in the cab of the truck and yelled at himself. He loves hearing himself with the earmuffs on his head.
"HAPPY THANKSGIVING! BEST HOLIDAY EVER! Christmas? What's that?"
Sounds fun and looks like you guys had a great Thanksgiving weekend!
