Jensley and the 5K

Jensley set a goal to run a 5K race. She wants the pretty medals to hang on her wall. We've been using the Couch to 5K app to get her going.
She's doing great!
Lindsea and her kids are here. It took a little for Sienna to warm up to us, but she finally decided that she likes Aunt DeA.
On-line school is going just great, as you can tell from the look on DeA's face.
No one is more excited for the kids to go back to school than Leo.
We took a Sunday drive to the hills. We made a little campfire and went on a little hike. It was peaceful and relaxing.

Each kid wanted a selfie.

My pretty DeA
All that outdoors stuff wore DeA and Leo out.
Dad had a rifle that needed sighted in, so we decided to sight them all in.
Pew pew pew!

Rock did all his math work and ended up with an A, which earned him a signed(!) Pete Rose jersey from his teacher. Holy crap!
Rock's teeth are decidedly not straight, so we made him an orthodontist appointment. He enjoyed the attention, at least I think he did.
Turns out he isn't quite ready for braces yet, he still has some first teeth that need to fall out. But the look on the orthodontist's face while looking at Rock's teeth was not encouraging. He could already see the new boat in his eyes.
Jens looks forward to her runs and is getting better each time.
The kids needed to release their wiggles, and their moms needed them to get out of the house, so we went for a hike. It was supposed to be about a mile round trip.
The kids started excited for the adventure.
They identified and watered some of the local flora.
We got to the end of the trail and the kids demanded trail snacks. They acted as if they were just forced to march for hours, and not the .25 miles that they had really done.

I turns out that the sign was way off and the whole hike was only half a mile round-trip. But at least they got out of the house.
Jens won't admit it, but she likes doing her runs with me a lot more than she does with DeA.
