Trip Update Part 4: Escape from Honduras

So, there we were, just enjoying our delicious fried fish when we got the call from the embassy: Get thee hence from Honduras.
We looked around at the beautiful land that we had just started to get to know,

and then at the bus that would take us to the airport and thought to ourselves "is that really going to get us there?"
Things were tense, tensions were high, pictures were in black and white to emphasize the dramatic element of the moment.
The travelers were worried, anxious and concerned that they would never get their delicious banana sodas before the bus left.
We got part way to the airport and then had to wait for protesters to clear the only bridge out of town. Things got interesting, fun, a little scary and tense at times, but we still had time to take pictures behind the wheel of the bus.

It sure was nice to see this sign in Houston after flying out. Bless you sweet sign.

  3. I like Honduras. It is beautiful. Just wish the people were as beautiful around the world. I am sure you are glad to be back on America soil. But what a great experience.
