Settling In

Slowly but surely we are settling into our little lives here in Oregon. Rock wanted to show people what a typical day is like for him. First thing he does is wake up all calm and cuddly.
Then he chills in his chair and watches Toddler Sports News while Mommy makes his breakfast.
After breakfast he is ready to go. He looks in the mirror and gives himself a rousing pep talk.
"Who's number one? YOU ARE!!"
His favorite part of the mornings is when he gets to re-invigorate himself in his ball pit.

Later he takes a bath, gets a massage from Mommy and then puts on his threads for the day.
Sometimes he gets to go for a ride in his carseat. He really likes cruising around in our new car, especially since he can see what's going on outside. Sometimes he shows the driver how much he appreciates his field trips.
He loves to knock back a few cold ones for lunch. He loves his sweet, sweet root beer.

After just a few little sips he can let out a deep, subwoofer aided belch.
Sometimes Mommy lets him help in the kitchen, and that makes him pretty happy.
This was a special day. Sometimes when Daddy is at work, Mommy does stuff that he doesn't understand. Daddy just shakes his head and takes a picture.
Almost everyday at about 1 pm Rock goes down for a nap. He won't sleep until he finds his watch dog, the Taco Bell Chihuahua. By the way, he fell asleep this way and DeA found him later just like this.
All energized by his nap, Rock decides that the afternoon is a great time to get in some weight lifting.
Today he didn't really get that into lifting, but the weight bench sure felt comfy.
DeA was pretty excited to have her family come back from Utah, and Rock was doubly excited to have more people pay attention to him. It had been getting pretty lonely since he left Washington.
Grandma Lisa brought him a special treat from Utah

Uncle Derek looked on with envy while Rock ate it.
He played peek-a-boo with Grandpa Dave, and is pretty sure that he surprised Grandpa everytime.
Grandpa was laying on the floor when Rock thought to himself "Hmm, when I go to Daddy's clinic and watch people lay on their back he always does something to the neck...I think I can figure it out."

"And then Daddy does stuff to the back. I'm a little smaller than Daddy, so maybe I have to try something different."
After helping Grandpa feel better, Rock had his first skiing lesson from Uncle Derek.
