Rock Post-Birthday Pre-Party Party!!

So, our little poopy bundle of joy is now over a year old. He's walking all over the place, throwing fits at the store and fumigating the living room. We have officially stopped calling him Baby Rock, he is now known as Toddler Rock. I'll admit that it doesn't roll off of the tongue quite the same way, but DeAndra is committed to making it stick. We are having the first Annual Festival of the Feast of the Nacimientos of San Rock de Davenport and Saint Connor the Patron Saint of Leap Year (also known as the RocCon-Abration Spectacular Bonanza!!TM) at the end of the month, but we couldn't let his first birthday pass us by without doing something. That's why we had a little cake eating contest between Rock and Connor, kind of like a preliminary competition before their epic cake eating contest at the RocCon-Abration Spectacular Bonanza!!TM. It wasn't their best performance, but I think the taste of cake will be like the taste of blood to sharks or brains to zombies.
DeAndra made a delicious wacky cake for the boys to practice on. It seemed like a good cake to practice on, since its moisture keeps the mouth from becoming too dry. The frosting is also pudding like, helping the cake slide down the gullet with ease.
Connor brought Rock ice cream from the devil's ice cream parlor Maggie Moos!! Thank you Jacque!!

Both of the boys started out slowly, but Little Man seemed to pick up the pace quite a bit towards the end. He would take a handful of cake and then squeeze the beeswax out of it with his hand until it seeped out his fingers. Then he would lick his fingers clean, a classic strategy.

Rock is loving his Christmas/birthday presents. He won't go anywhere unless he is holding a baseball bat or golf club in his hand. He also likes to use the foam shaft of the golf clubs for yummy foam snacks.
Can you find Rock in the picture below? I'll give you a hint, he still loves his giant boxes!
And, in case you were wondering, Rock still loves playing with his truck. He pushes it everywhere and loves to hold the buttons down and make noises.
Little Man got in on the truck action, too. They were trying to get some Slim Jims, truck stop hot dogs and hiatal hernias to really get into the trucker theme, but their moms would have none of it.
Rufus still loves burning the villages, although they are still learning that they have to pillage before they burn.
